Jonathon Fast Freddy Smith.
And 28 year-olds don't have strokes when they're in peak physical condition without something weird going on. It's stupid to think he could have possibly not been on steroids.
You have NO proof of that. You can call me stupid all you want. I'm sure there have been plenty of 28 year olds that have had strokes in the history of the world. You're making an assumption and you're entitled to your opinion but it's hardly fact. So in your mind after recovering from the stroke the Pats should've assumed he was on steroids and just dumped him right then and there? I'm sure no other team would've taken a chance on him because they're so morally conscious.
Wait, was that a quote from someone else? If so, direct that post to him. I understand people threw out that card when this all happened, but nothing has been proven. We could argue about this all day. I'm not gonna change your mind, your not gonna change mine so it's pointless.
In other areas, the Packers looked real solid last night taking down the Vikings. And the Raiders looked awful. They will give the Chiefs a serious run for worst team in the league this year. And wouldn't you know it, they face off next week, a serious test for both teams.

They're dirty beyond hits. They cheat, they break NFL rules, and they have no respect for any other team, player, or coach int he league (last year Belicheck wouldn't shake hands). They hire players that used to be on their opponent of the week, get some playbook from them, and cut them. They actively seek out players with a history of behavioral problems and dirty hitting (ie Harrison, Lynch who they ended up cutting, Seau) and allow obvious roiders to remain on the team as leaders (Bruschi). They're the Cowboys of the AFC.
Good teams can be put together without dirty players. Look at Bill Polian. He has ALWAYS looked at character in drafts and deals, and put together two amazing teams (early 90s Bills, Manning's Colts) with little to no dirty shot problems. Admittedly, the Bills back then did have some troubles that way, Bruce Smith and a couple line-backers would hit the QB when they could, and Andre Reed and Steve Tasker had a temper, but it wasn't like the Patriots. They didn't bring in free agents that were dirty, the coach was extremely professional and respectful, and they didn't slide elbows into QB's knees. Colts have had virtually no behavioral problems with their great teams.
Wow, you're making a lot of assumptions there with little to no proof. Bruschi is a known steroid user? Maybe in your circle of friends, I don't think there's ever been any proof of that though. You dig up the documents though if you've got them. Signing players of opponents and then cutting them the next week? Name me one time they did that. They had Keith Byars on their team years ago who knew the Dolphins audibles from his time with them. A) If you're not smart enough to change the offensive audibles when you know a guy on the other team knows them, you deserve to lose. Dave Wannstadt was a pretty good loser. B) They didn't cut Keith Byars the next week. He played the rest of the season for them. I think Harrison is overrated as a DIRTY player, but he was voted the dirtiest so I may have trouble defending that. I never considered Junior Seau dirty, but whatever. Belichick, while he appears to be a dick to the media and such, has a great deal of respect for the game of football and the rest of the coaching fraternity. He has high praise for Mike Shanahan in particular.
You hate the Patriots because they're good, I get it. So every little thing they do is amplified. You should be complaining more about teams like the Cincinatti Bengals, who have some serious bad moral character issues. Maybe the Ravens, wasn't one of their guys up on murder charges once? There are guys who've done much more terrible things than the Patriot players you mentioned. Spygate, fine, you wanna bitch about that you're entitled, but don't make accusations and state them as fact.

www.gnrsource.com is a good site to find info on the songs.

Brady's MRI is scheduled for sometime today, but it certainly looks like it's his ACL, and possibly worse, could be MCL too. He's most likely done for the year, for sure. I wouldn't be so quick to bury the Pats though. They do have a weak schedule and they still have PLENTY of talent on their roster. Sure they lost the best player in the league, but I'm also sure that the team will rally around this. They've always done so in the past. Players will elevate their games to a different level. I still think they're a LOCK for the playoffs. 10-6 is a respectable prediction in my mind.

I just heard them on the radio covering "It's So Easy". It's up on their myspace page, http://www.myspace.com/operatormusic.
He does sound like Cornell on "Delicate". I may have to check them out more in depth
#6756 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » SLASH To Present At 'MTV Video Music Awards' » 877 weeks ago
I tried to tune in for a bit last year and I just couldn't stomach it. It was awful. I think it was last year at least, the one Diddy hosted. They were at various locations, it was a hip hop fest. Oh it was horrendous. I couldn't watch the complete show live. I'll record it and skip to the good part(s). Slash, Kid Rock, check and see how much of a mess Britney is THIS year, Katy Perry to see if she kisses a girl, and if she likes it, that's about it.

russtcb wrote:I know that Oh My God has grown ALOT on me through the years and SR is alot like it to me.
Oh My God is a very good song. Shows Axl evolving while still keeping a little bit of the old sound. I've always liked it. But your post proves that SR will be given the same treatment by Axl. SR is not a bad song. But it very far from the sound of GNR and not everybody will like that. It's ok to evolve but getting too far away from your sound can hurt. Personnally I like SR but I've played it to a friend who loved GNR and he hated the song because he says it doesn't sound like GNR.
Faldor it's not that I don't believe anything that Axl says. Just that when it comes to CD or songs he recorded since 1998 like Oh my God I don't believe him anymore. The guy has cried wolf way too many times for me to believe him. It's your prerogative to believe him for the Oh my God being a demo. But no movie company would put a demo on their soundtrack. Plus OMG doesn't sound like a demo. So I ain't buying the horse manure that Axl tried to sell. But that is my prerogative as well. *lol*
Here's what I was trying to say. It may not have been a demo in the eyes of the record company, or whoever forced him to release (if his side of the story is true). Like strat0 said, if there was a deadline to hand the song in for the soundtrack Axl could've done all he could with it and handed it in. We're talking about a guy who worked on "November Rain" for 10+ years. How long do you think he worked on "Oh My God" for? Apparently not long enough for his liking. So after he was forced to hand in the song while it may have been viewed as finished by the record company, he may have felt differently.
Again, just a pro-Axl theory. I'm full of them, give me another shot.
#6758 Re: Guns N' Roses » Death Magnetic inspiring & bringing out competitive edge in GN'R » 877 weeks ago
I am excited about Death Magnetic. I've resisted temptations to download it, I plan to wait till next Friday. The 3 songs I've heard I'm quite pleased with though. Getting back to their roots and away from that St. Anger crap. Here's the thing, if GNR had stayed together it's possible they could've put a load of crap like St. Anger out. Not that it does anything to tarnish Metallica's rep, but maybe they should've sat that one out, taken a few years off. It certainly sounds like they're back with a vengeance with this one though.
#6759 Re: Guns N' Roses » Will you still buy CD? » 877 weeks ago
I know you don't want me to refer to Axl's open letter, but he talks about the reason for the lack of updates. I know, I know, he promised updates if there were any problems, I get that. But again,
"For much of the time, various legal issues have arisen, demanding that the best way to deal with these things publicly, quite frankly, was to keep our mouths shut in an attempt to ensure the best outcome -- especially one that wouldn't jeopardize the band or the album."
I can totally see your side of things and why so many people are pissed at Axl's actions or lack thereof over the years, but I can't emphasize enough that we don't know what's going on or what has gone on behind closed doors. Maybe there's a reason we've been kept in the dark, I don't know, you don't know, nobody knows. As for Axl giving hints like, "you will hear music this year". Maybe he was just stringing us along with no intention of releasing anything, it's possible. I'd like to think though that it's also possible that he had every intention of getting this thing out YEARS ago, but for reasons unknown to us, that hasn't happened. I guess he could've given a "No comment" type of statement, but do you really think that would've made anyone any happier? Axl has turned a lot of people off over the years and I don't think there's any winning them back. That's their right, if people feel hurt or offended by Axl Rose, then so be it. I don't share that view. Apparently I'm a lot more forgiving than lots of people. I've enjoyed GNR for about 16 years now, and that will continue whether we get a new album or not.
#6760 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » SLASH To Present At 'MTV Video Music Awards' » 877 weeks ago
Yeah I'll try and still tape it. Although MTV replays the thing all month long so not sure how important it is to tape. But it'll be cool to see Slash present at the very least. I don't plan on enjoying much more than that though.
