I'm signing up for Spotify for a month to test drive some albums.

I put together playlists for the Headbangers Ball shows that James mentioned.

I gotta give MTV props for devoting 2-3 hour blocks to this music.

How much of it was Rikki Rachtman having suction at MTV? Seems like experts on genre had free reign back then.

The album version way too polished. Probably why Lindsey has shit all over that album before.

Damn. That one got Catchered. For sure. Lost it's swing and low key vibe.

Nirvana Sliver, and Anuerysm was always a bit of a cult hit song. I always liked 'Been A Son' from Incesticide though.

Aneurysm is great. Felt like a perfect hybrid of the Nevermind and In Utero styles.

You've never listened to Rumours? yikes

I listened to it.

In retrospect, I'd heard a lot of it between long drives listening to classic rock radio and movies/tv shows.

Anyway, good record, top tier musicianship. I'll give er a couple more spins.

I've never listened to Fleetwood Mac before (please don't throw things at me).

I'll check em out thanks James.

I listened to his solo album awhile ago and it didn't do much for me to say the least but I'll give STP another shot one of these days.

I've always loved this track from Michael Jackson called "For All Time".

It was worked on for the Thriller sessions, a demo was produced for the Dangerous album in 1990, but only finally released in 2007 on the Thriller 25 Anniversary album.

I like it because it feels something like an optimistic, happy version of Earth Song in the sense that it has a light, melodic, and unobtrusive instrumental that allows Michael's voice to carry the song.

The debut has way too many cheesy 80s things to do much for me. I bet the pinch harmonics make Zakk Wylde blow a load in his pants. I see the appeal though, it's something you can sing along to, as a guy it's just metal enough to pass the bar and as a girl it has the fixable bad boy thing going for it.

Slave To Grind is the Skid Row record for me. I'll put Side A of that record up against a lot of albums.

I like Angel Down quite a bit too. Felt the spiritual successor to Slave, right down to the cover art painting by his dad.

The fall from Angel Down to Kicking and Screaming can only be accounted to the loss of Roy Z as producer because that album is a hot mess. I remember his latest being a marginal improvement but I've only listened to that one once too.

I never 'got' Grease. I might have seen it when I was a kid, and just didn't like it so never gave it much of a chance when I was older.  OTOH maybe I just don't like it.

Grease is a little cheesy and dated but sexual undercurrent was definitely risqué for the time.

I read a post by some wrestling dirt sheet guy basically saying this is really bad news.

There was a TMZ article about multiple organs being affected. Doesn't sound good.

Ric put over the stinger and that makes him cool in my book.

If you do a Pick Em, I could hang with that. Fantasy is too much of a time commitment.
