that one is quite fair, I was actually surprised that something coming from that troll sewer is worth reading smile

I think it's fair to note, that the Iron Throne has possibly been provided by Dave Grohl, and if I remember correctly, Axl thanked Dave or made some joke about it during the show.
this is the same Throne, only at GNR show the red back has been covered by black cloth. I think by the end of the show the cloth fell down and the throne got red again.

anyway, I really loved the way they solved this problem and yeah, I immediately thought that Axl is sitting there like an Emperor, watching at his band. surreal!

I missed the TIL intro earlier. Watching it now. Slash is bored as hell. He literally has nothing to do until that solo. This song needs to be reworked during the next rehearsals.

I'd just not play it at all. the solo is quite a trademark of Robin. let's do it onetime in the future, and invite Robin to play it. DJ did a very good carbon-copy of Robin's solo and it worked great, but this... for me the only really bad moment of the show. the solo was just raped.

I'm here quite new, but I was active at Chinesedemocracy and Newgnr forums for years. around 2011 or so I quite lost interest in GNR, but now I'm curious again, what's happening smile thanks guys again for inviting me here. I'm still amazed by Chinese Whispers!

I don't think all this really matters. if they do some damn stellar performances, who cares about who's in the band? remember Buckethead. at first he looked like a fucking weirdo, but when he started playing, people went nuts.

I quite agree that some songs need to be brought back to their roots and played with proper hard rock or punk rock vibe. keep the keyboards only for songs, where they are meaningful. let the keyboardist(s) do percussions or sub-bass on them, instead of bloating them with unneccessary layers. that must be Axl's obsession, putting more and more layers. even Chinese Democracy or Better could sound really fresh, if played like they were originally written - a raw grungy in your face rock anthem and tight rock hit. nothing more, nothing less.
