By all accounts, plans for a tour have been scrapped.
This is what everyone close to the band is saying.
What fan would be happy to know that their band is heading into another 3-4 year period of inactivity?
I wouldn't hold my breath for another album. Maybe, maybe someday, maybe a posthumous release. Maybe 10 years from now.
How could you not be disappointed?

faldor wrote:Duff and Ron must be friends because this was obviously planned. Anyone know how/when they became friends?
He was allegedly a groom at Duff's wedding and a performer.

A reunion would sell out stadiums across the US in a day...
I don't even know if that's the case anymore.

I checked my messages today and saw that I had a message from 8 days ago.
Is there any notification, so we know that we have a new message?
Thanks!

It shows all the threads a member has posted in, but not the posts.
Some of the threads are over 10 pages long.
Am I doing it wrong, or is this as precise as the search gets?
Thanks!

Nice.
How was he introduced?
Thanks to rancid punks at MYGNR:
From The Infinite Staircase over on the Metal Sludge Gossip Boards:
http://forums.metalsludge.tv/forums/vie … 5#p4115725So, I thought this would raise some GNR Conspiracies for those with the time...
I went to The Gramercy Theatre show tonight to see Loaded (Which, holy shit they were fuckin GREAT! - THEY MADE A HUGE FAN OUT OF ME - and I'm not talking about the fact that I'm fat!!)
So aside from the fact that he did 3 of my favorite GNR tunes tonight (and they all sounded sweet as fuck!)
Toward the end of the set Duff gives this big introduction to a young talent who was going to come out and jam with them, low and behold... Ron Thai aka Bumblefoot.
In all honesty, I wasn't very impressed with Bumblefoot. He didn't seem on tonight. But it was cool anyway. And I thought the crazier GNR enthusiasts would think this makes Duff a step closer to AXL or some shit like that. lol
They proceeded to do a montage of covers which started with The Stooges, and went into Journey, ZZ Top, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, and eventually back into The Stooges.
Really great show. Duff fuckin rocks. There was a great atmosphere, and usually at shows like this NYC crowds suck, but they were pretty cool tonight. There was a really lame pit at one point, but it was still funny. Duff talked alot in between songs, joked with the crowd and even poked fun at himself for everything from drinking too much redbull to screwing up the lyrics in "Dust N Bones" during the first verse.
Which brings me to the 3 GNR Tunes they did throughout their set (without Bumblefoot) were "Dust N Bones" "So Fine" and "It's So Easy"
