but if axl made it a condition that the song was not to be used in conjunction with ex gnr members in any way then Activision still used slash;s likeness to promote the song then it becomes an issue

depends where publishing rights come into play...if axl soley owns publishing rights then it doesnt matter what slash wrote

depends if this was a verbal agreement or not as well...if axl doesnt have anythign in writing he may be SOL

People also seem to forget that he's been quite liberal with allowing Slash to rerecord various songs over the past few years. The deluxe version of Slash has 3 Guns songs on it, featuring Myles Kennedy and Fergie. I think he'd have been fine with the Guitar Hero thing, had they not gone behind his back the same way they did with Courtney Love and the whole Kurt character thing.

No matter who worked on these songs, they can't just use them when and where they want to. As you can see above, when someone uses a symbol or a song, the others get mad.

Having said that, your talent as a performer has zero to do with your songwriting ability. And if you think Elvis didn't have a diverse catalog, you really should do more research.

If we are just talking about performing then yes no one beats Elvis, he started it all for being a great performer but I thought we were talking about musical talent not just performing

Which was my original point. I said that I believe the three most talented performers to ever walk a stage were/are Elvis Presley, Axl Rose & Michael Jackson.
