I don't buy that. The song is pretty damn obscure, and there's ten trillion Bucket songs that a fake would have used before Shackler.
The track is real whether it ever gets released or not.
Yeah Mysteron pretty much said the same thing. The song is legit and is going to be on CD. He doesn't know about the Rock Band rumor but thinks it is credible, as far as rumors go at least.
He posted such earlier today on HTGTH.

I know, that's his game and he's obviously done plenty of good things in his time as one of the 10 best QB's of all time. I guess that's just who he is and how he plays the game but for an all time great he's sure made some horrible plays along the way. Again, not to take away anything from the guy. He's a class act, but I still think it's time for Green Bay to say goodbye to the legend and move on.
I agree, and the reasons you listed are why Favre(or no one) could ever hold Montana's jockstrap. The guy played the last couple years of his career after having had a couple career ending injuries with a mediocre offense and was one game away from the SB. The guy was a genius. He was old(older than Favre), and he still couldn't be stopped. If Bruce Smith doesn't knock him out cold in that 1993 game, Its the Chiefs-Cowboys in the SB.
Montana would have tore that Dallas defense to pieces.
I think Tom Brady would've made a strong case to be compared to Joe Montana IF the Pats could've run the table last season. But now that debate can be put to rest forever. As Joe never lost a Super Bowl, and Tom has. He's still pretty darn good though.

One way or another, GB will have to get ready to move on with Rodgers (or Brohm down the line potentially), but they are built to win now. Favre gives them the best chance now. Remember, they were an overtime away from the Super Bowl.
I think this whole situation will end up ugly, unfortunatly.
It was also Brett Favre who threw that horrendous INT in that OT to help lead the Giants to victory. As great as Brett has been in his career and was last year he has a penchant for making some great plays and some awful ones. He's a gun slinger who'll just throw it up for grabs and he has more misses these days than he used to. It's time for Green Bay to move on.
I really don't think he had more misses these days, I think it just got to the point where everybody sees it and says, "He's a legend, he should fucking know better than to throw that". It's easier to criticize a guy who's been around for a long time.
When you're young, being considered a risk taker is endearing, when you get old and still do it you start to look stupid... In football or in life.

James Lofton wrote:I've never been a big fan of preseason either, but its better than the offseason. The games are too meaningless. It should be reduced to two or three games each.
I didn't used to feel that way, but then I started listening to every single player, every single coach, and every single analyst that used to be a player or coach, and they all say that it should be shortened.
You would think the NFL would listen to what the people who actually have to go through it think, but all they see is dollar signs where they can charge people to watch more games... Games where they won't get to see the stars they want to see do anything but sit on the bench.
Another big problem with the pre-season besides its length is the way the NFL does its best as treating it like a REAL game. They charge regular prices for tickets, parking, the whole thing. All the while, the actual players don't receive their normal regular season game checks during the pre-season, heck they hardly play at all anyway. I think that's ridiculous.

It would appear you have that correct.
I don't think they're unveiling the entire setlist though. I heard they're gonna do it in increments.

I missed the last vote. Hope that didn't do it for "The Blues", as I would've voted "Madagascar".
I just went back and checked and I did vote last time. A narrow loss for "The Blues". Maddy's going down this time.
#6918 Re: Guns N' Roses » Rumor: Unheard GNR song on Rockband 2 » 885 weeks ago
One way or another some people have WAY too much time on their hands. Either creating fake setlists or creating fake video game clips, whatever the case may be.
#6919 Re: Guns N' Roses » In regards to 9 song GNR Chinese Democracy leaks » 885 weeks ago
I don't get what's so hard to "believe"? He said he cleaned up the leaks (songs we've already heard). He attempted to master them himself since he didn't think they were finished versions. Not sure why that makes him a fake insider. Maybe I'm missing something.
#6920 Re: Guns N' Roses » Mysteron confirms "Shackler's Revenge" as an actual new GN'R song » 885 weeks ago
Good point, his is a very recognizable figure...one of those people who only a one word name is needed like Slash and Axl. Buckethead in my opinion is the best thing that happened to "new GNR". The two necessary ingredients for the best of the C.D. stuff we have heard thus far are Axl and Bucket.
I also have for a long time believed that the leaks we have heard have been to some degree on purpose and (to some degree) intentional misdierection. That is why I fully believe that the 12 of 13 songs that most think will be on the final 13 will probably be more like 4 or 5 of the 13 we will end up with. NONE of us expected Shackler's Revenge...did we? It sounds like it may very well be a full out Bucket rocker. Who knows what else is coming and Prostitute (not song #2) may not be far away as well as some other key surprises!
Yeah if this is indeed true I may tend to agree with you. Not that I'd be upset if CD consisted of the 9 songs we've heard, but obviously I'd love for it to contain a handulf or more of unheard songs. And with all the supposed song titles we've heard, for this one to come out (if true), it just shows how much or little we actually know. Maybe the leaks were intentional, maybe they slowed down the process, who knows? I'd lean more towards intentional if they were able to keep a song appearing on a major video game a secret until just before its release.
