Not in the minority in real life - only in the minority of people that still hang out at the forums, and even that is debatable. Most people that feel like I do don't waste a lot of time posting about it. HUGE difference.
I was more referring to the media types than the people at the forums. I actually here a lot more negativity coming from posters at forums than I have from journalists and reporters. At least concerning the music itself. People on both fronts are gonna hammer Axl any chance they get.

Yeah I wouldn't be so hard on Frank unless you know the whole story. I don't, so I'm not saying it's not true. But did HE put that up? Myspace can be hacked into I'm sure. If he was trying to be funny, I guess it didn't work.

My biggest reason for disliking the new band in the past was ruining the legacy of the real band, but Axl has been kind enough to ensure that something like that isn't even possible now. This band will never be Guns N Roses - it will always be Axl's new Guns N Roses...I can live with that.
Now if he could just get the songs to the point that they are listenable, I could actually support this solo project.
Ozzy had been solo, away from Black Sabbath, for some time when No More Tears came out. For some people, Guns N' Roses will and always will be Axl Rose. So while you think it's not, many will disagree. As long as the "voice" of the band is there. I know there are plenty who think the way you do, but there's two sides to every story. Bands evolve, move on. The old lineup played themselves out. While they were still great, they couldn't co-exist. It was time to move on. Axl took the name for better or worse. For people who fail to recognize them as Guns N' Roses, that's too bad, because that's what they are.
To a few fans who never understood what the band was all about, Axl = GnR. To anybody that's been around for the entire 20+ year run, it's obvious that Axl is not, nor was he ever GnR. If he was, there would have been an album released YEARS ago. He is incapable of writing quality material on his own. The leaks prove it and the lack of an album proves it. If it weren't for BH, a large percentage of the few people that really like all the leaks wouldn't like them either. The leaks have layers upon layers of fluff added to make the songs appear complex because they lack quality. Neither is the sign of great material no matter how often a few people here want to say so.
That is completely subjective and while you're entitled to your opinion NOTHING you stated holds any water as far as being fact except that Axl has not released any albums without Slash and co. You think the leaks are crap, but whether you like to admit it or not YOU are in the minority on that front. I love the leaks, AND the classics. I've actually been surprised at how well received the leaks have been. I thought they'd be given no chance whatsoever. Sort of like what you're doing.

bigbri wrote:Didn't we get our answer with Neemo's post at 15:47. It's a Buckethead-related song, perhaps brought to GNR, but I'd be willing to guess it's just instrumental. Actually, I guess that doesn't answer it. Could be fake, but totally a Bucket-sounding song. I'd bet "Shackler's Revenge" is a marital arts movie. It's interesting to note that the Buckethead FAQ Neemo linked to is from 2001 or 2002. About the time Bucket left, right?
I somehow missed all that. It's looking more and more like this is a BH track right?
That's what I would think. Although as someone said before wouldn't it make more sense to put a Buckethead track on Guitar Hero rather than Rock Band? There'd have to be some sort of vocals if it's on that game, right?

This is from a gaming website message board. Just someone's opinion, but it seems to make some sense.

No Freezepop, Megadeth and Metallica in one game, Guns n' Roses/Rage Against the Machine not sticking to their apparently Guitar Hero exclustivity, and the new lack of Blink-182 here.
Considering the Guns n' Roses song is probably new, Slash doesn't have his greedy fingers in it, so I guess that's why it's in (he only co-owns the rights with Axl to Sweet Child O' Mine, Paradise City, and Welcome to the Jungle, anyway).
All I can say is, if this is real.
BEST.
SETLIST.
EVER.

look at Ozzy's No More Tears....Mike Inez is given a credit as a bass player and i dont think he ever played a live show with Ozzy

#6927 Re: Guns N' Roses » Rumor: Unheard GNR song on Rockband 2 » 885 weeks ago
The other songs seem fairly legit. The staples like "Let There Be Rock"/"Man in the Box"/"Peace Sells" are there as well as other popular and lesser known tracks. Seems convincing and so far I haven't noticed any miscredited songs so that's a good sign. If it's fake someone has WAY to much time on their hands....Where's Backslash??
Yeah exactly. I didn't check all the songs, but at least at first glance the others appear to be legit. So for someone to just throw in one fake GNR song, seems a bit out of place. Who knows though.
#6928 Re: Guns N' Roses » Rumor: Unheard GNR song on Rockband 2 » 885 weeks ago
I think the fact that it's a complete unheard of title adds legitimacy to it. If it was someone bullshitting they'd probably put 'The General', 'Thyme', or some other title we've been hearing for years.
I'm not buying it yet, but I won't flat out call it bs.
Yeah it seems odd that someone would throw in a random GNR song into a mix of 70 other songs, but maybe that's the beauty of it.

Interesting. Could be totally bogus though as the link stated.

I don't know if people gave the 3 new leaks enough of a chance. I initially didn't think they were as strong as the previous group but after listening MANY times they rank right up there for me. I vote for Madagascar again.
