It's a song about Robin Finck.
Really?

That artwork I’m not sure about. Looks a lot more like a tour poster and definitely has Grateful Dead vibes . Atlas Shrugged makes no sense as an album name to me.
If it were referencing the book (which I’m pretty sure Axl said wasn’t the case in the forum chats) it would allude to extreme capitalism and personal gain being central to goodness which is hardly in the dangerous rock n’ roll spirit (not like Guns haven’t made out like bandits mind).
If it were to reference what I believe the theme of the song is (a message to his younger self perhaps?) it might make more sense but even still, it seems vague.

This is an intriguing one because:
a) it’s brand new to us; no leaks of any significance
b) it’s been hyped and mythologized to the high heavens by hardcores for decades. I just hope it’s more Prostitute and less Madagascar if that makes sense

Yeah vocals are a mess on Atlas - as they were on Perhaps and Axl seemingly has re-recorded parts of Perhaps and he’s the star of the song.
I was very underwhelmed by the Perhaps demo but maybe it’s just I’ve heard a finished mix now that I’m so impressed by its transformation - or maybe I’m just caught up in the moment that they are finally doing things like a major act should.
I’ve always thought the bones of a great song are there with Atlas so am excited

I expect it’s not because it’s b-grade that it’s a b-side - more likely it’s too complex for a radio single.
Everything crossed there is an album or at very least a Lies style mini album in the pipeline

Very encouraged by how they’ve transformed Perhaps into a very good song. I see more potential with Atlas so can’t wait for this

It suggests there is more music to come
I'm not sure I follow.
What I have noticed is Hard Skool and Absurd are alot louder than Perhaps.
I hope this is addressed if they end up forming some kind of album.Bob Ludwig has retired, he doesn't work anymore, and has done very little in recent times. GN'R were listening to new material in a studio in Europe very recently
Oh did he master 'Perhaps'?

This song has massively grown on me. I’m even liking the mix more. It’s manifestly better than Hard Skool

Song is a grower and catchy as hell. I think the biggest hurdle to this being a mainstream hit is that it’s almost impossible to make out what Axl is saying in the chorus - people like to sing along to big hits in the car and that chorus I just can’t see that happening.
That said, it didn’t stop ‘You could be mine’ being huge with the line “with your bitchslap wrappin’” etc
