Meh I'll take a cool universal belt any day over a gimmicky customized belt.
Cheesy gimmick
Classy kickass belt
to each their own though.
the only customized belt that ever worked in my opinion was the million dollar belt and it's because it was essential to his character.

I saw that tonight and was so hoping they'd bring back the classic wing tipped belt. I thought they were going to the way the Rock was talking. Such a let down. The spinner belt fucking sucked so I'm glad they got rid of that piece of shit finally. This one is better but it's pretty lack luster. I hate that it's customized with Brama Bulls on the side. Give me a fucking break. Why do that? Customized belts blow ass. It's not the Rock's belt it's the WWE championship belt.
They should've just gone to this. Choose your colour. I believe Ultimate Warrior was the only guy to actually wear the blue, white, yellow & purple(just a toy in the pic) ones

I like the white but I guess the IC belt is white so classic black would work or if they wanted to combine eras they could go with this design but with the Attitude era blue strap. Would look sick.

You know how Axl got the 2000 era lineup to rerecord AFD..... well I'd like to hear the the old lineup(AFD or Illusion) rerecord Chinese Democracy. Would probably be fuckin badass if they stripped it of all the nonsense layers and production and just made it into a rock record. Slash would make the songs take flight. Imagine what he'd do with the Blues, this I Love or even TWAT. YES even TWAT. Axl would make Slash's songs take flight at well. Imagine what he'd have done with Slither, Messages or Anastasia.
As it stands I'm a less is more kinda guy that's why Slash's music post Gn'R is better to me than Axl's. Axl tries too hard(god that sounds like a fucking oxy moron) to be epic. Slash just lets it come and that's how you get to epic. You can't force it. Axl thinks you can.
For the record I think the long intro to CD on the album is cool. It's easily edited for radio as it should be but in an album context it was cool.

I've listened to CD several times on vinyl with a micro line stylus and I can tell you that it isn't in any way "a mess". It just needs to be listened to properly.
If you need to go to special lengths to appreciate something and not consider it a mess, its a mess. The songs are all being forced into being epics and fal so incredibly short. There is too much unnecessary stuff going on in all the songs and the album is way over produced. Saying a person simply needs to listen to it properly to appreciate it is nonsense. It's like saying I just need to read the Twighlight books then I'll love the movies. Isn't it wierd that I don't need to listen to other albums "properly". If they are good albums with proper arrangements and production I can listen to them in any format with any technology. In Gn'R land there always an excuse more elaborate than the last.

I actually went to David Usher concert once and they had the Edmonton Oilers games on the big screen above the stage. It was tied late in the third period and all eyes were on the screen when suddenly the screen turned off. The crowd booed. About 1 minute went by and the screen came back on and the game went into overtime. Dallas scored about 4 minutes into the overtime and immediately the screen went off and he lights went out and the show started. They had actually waited for the game to end. Not for the benefit of anyone in the band mind you but for the crowd
Based on the fact that no concrete reasons have ever been given as to why Axl makes the crowds wait and given that even BBF seems to have no clue as to why fans are left to wait so long and eems as frustrated about it as we are I'd say the chances of this story being true are vastly superior to them being "absolute bullshit". Until Axl wants to give a true answer and stop bullshitting as to why he goes on stage so late then anything goes. More than likely things like this probably happen way more than we think when it comes to Ol' Axl. He doesn't care when he goes on so if he's ready and it's 9:30 and a game he is watching is still on of course he's going to fucking wait till it's over. He has no regard for the fans when it comes to this issue so to dismiss this instantly as "absolute bullshit" based on "lack of evidence" is incredibly naive in my opinion.

Whoa whoa, that's what I meant. I want them STILL kicking ass... but I want it to be a torch-passing deal.
I want them as supporting characters. Think Bobby & J.R. in the new Dallas. There, but NOT the stars of the show anymore. That kinda thing for Hamill & Ford.
Yeah ok. The new Dallas is a much better comparison. Riggs & Murtaugh were the main characters so when you said that I thought "No no no..no No no"
Totally on the same page with ya then in terms of it being a torch passing type thing. I mean if they cast t right and come up with great long term story line they could easily make 6 more of these(assuming the next 3 are successfull and good)
I haven't seen the new Die Hard move and it might be good but at this point those movies are parodies of the original. Made for the nostalgia fator and nothing more. That's the last thing I want to see with the new Star Wars.

Maybe Axl sounds so bad so often cause he chooses to. Maybe singing the way he used to at his age would end his career and maybe he saves the Axl Rose voice for the studio...... then again maybe not.
My gut says he simply doesn't have it in him anymore. Small glimpses is all we'll ever see. He'll fine tune it in the studio with production but in my opinion he simply can't sing the way he did when the world loved what he was doing. I don't think Axl ever learned how to sing properly and as years went by he's probably found himself trying to sound like Axl Rose where as other singers just sing.
This is an awesome mashup. Musically there's nothing as organic as this on CD. It's just better, timeless, classic sounding music and as constipated as Axl's voice sounds it takes the song to a whole other level. Slash would do the same to CD songs with his guitar playing.

I would love nothing more than to Hamill & Ford, like aged and older sci-fi world Riggs & Murtaugh kicking ass.
Fisher... meh.
That's exactly what I don't want. I have no desire to see 70 year od Harrisn Ford "kicking ass". I'd love to have them in the movie as elder statesmen type of people. Hamill maybe a bit different because Luke is a Jedi Master but I don't need to see Harrison Ford running with Chewie like the good old days. I'd perfer the central theme of the movies not revolve around the old characters. Have them play integral parts but not the main focus and not the action heros of the movie. To me that'd just be a massive joke. I don' want ti to be a nostalgia rip. I want these movies to kick ass the way the Nolan Batman movies did. They better take this shit seriously. Fisher needs to be there in my opinion if Han Solo is even if just to make a cameo. Unless they plan on ignoring Leia all together and ignorng what all Star Wars fans know, that Leia and Han are married with kids, which if they did that would be ridiculous.
#69 Re: The Sunset Strip » JJ Abrams to direct Star Wars Episode VII » 673 weeks ago
Oh yeah Han Solo is easily more iconic than Indianna Jones. Way more famous and will be forever.
I'm curious to know now if Carrie Fisher will be back as Leia given that in the expaded universe Leia and Han are married with kids.....? I know Mark Hamill has said he'd love to play Luke again so it's almost a no brainer to bring all three of them back to reprise their roles. Someone's gotta get Carrie Fisher into a gym and on a proper meal plan. She's gotta whip into shape. May the force be with her.
#70 Re: The Garden » 10 years in a basement for $10 million, what would you take with you? » 673 weeks ago
Lazy fucks for no gym?
I'd figure fucking could keep calories burnt. Good fucking tho.
fun times but in the end it's not the same. You're in the basement. Your physical activty is so limited. Barely any walking even. Fully loaded gym with basketball courts and batting cage was just a no brainer to me. Then again I'm actually hypothetically thinking of surviving this. Most you guys seem to have hypothetically packed it in
