Promotion in Europe was a joke - here in Ireland I know lots of big GnR fans who had no idea the album had come out. The singles were barely on the radio (I never heard them anyway), no ads, nothing.
The exclusive deal with Best Buy was obviously the main reason for promotion in the states - as no such deal existed in Europe, no promotion occured.
They should have at least made a video. Ok, no Buckethead, Brain or Finck anymore but they could used random clips from 2002 and 2006 tours for Chinese Democracy or even Better.

Then again, Dr.Pepper have already embarrassed themselves, by critisizing Buckethead, who lo and behold, is all over the album with solo, rhythm and/or songwriting credits on almost every song. In fact, he's the star of the album. Anyone with some knowledge of the album would have guessed that. Fuckin' idiots must have feel stupid now.

Another funny thing is it says Better contains a five-guitar attack - its quite obvious the writer just took one look at the booklet and seen five guitar players - I very much doubt all five are playing at any one time.
Piled isn't the only spelling mistake - acclaimed also includes a rogue 't'. (edit: just noticed you already mentioned that, Neemo)

They obviously realised the implications of posting the current lineup without Bucket, Finck and Brain, and with some confusion over who and who isn't in the band so must have removed that part altogether.
This bit is so unprofessional - The following has been updated to correct inaccuracies contained in the previously posted version. Who puts this on an official site? It wouldn't be so bad if the mistakes were fixed. Shackler's Revenge is still missing as if it doesn't exist. Sorry and Riad are the wrong way around - therefore Riad doesn't segue into IRS, like the article suggests. The description of TWAT says "highlights include..." but doesn't mention Buckethead's solo...quite cleary this guy isn't very knowledgeable about the music. It says BH played a solo on Catcher...in fact it is one of the few songs he makes no contribution whatsever.

HEY What Shop did you get It in I can't find it anywhere today!!!! Even the local Xtra vision (Who are a pack of dirty cowboys) haven't even thrown it up on their shelves. Tesco haven't even yet...... Fuckin HMV hadn't put it up as of yesterday.......WTF?
As I said earlier in the thread - Secret Book and Record Store on Wicklow Street beside Tower Records. Golden Discs told me the release date in Ireland has been put back until Saturday (rather than tomorrow the original date). Either way I think it shouldn't be too hard to find tomorrow.

Its on sale a day early...don't know if they have it on vinyl. Its on general sale tomorrow anyway so shouldn't be any problem picking it up.

The holy grails would be:
The Blues demo based on the 2002 version and Catcher In The Rye with Brian May mixed and mastered, perhaps at the point before Bumblefoot joined.
I'd also be curious to hear
Chinese Democracy based on the 2002 version (probably very similiar except for the intro).
Shacklers's Revenge with Buckethead solo (or whatever was there before Bumblefoot, I'm guessing it was Buckethead)

This I Love version from early 90's.
Also any versions of songs from before Buckethead joined (Chinese Democracy, Street Of Dreams, There Was A Time, I.R.S., Madagascar, Prostitute). I believe all those songs were mentioned before Buckethead joined the band.
