In an interview with music blog site Attention Deficit Delirium, Hagar says that he would like to be in charge of an original Guns N Roses reunion.
"They've proved it again and again and again that it ain't [about] the money," observed Hagar. "They just don't get along because Axl goes out for a lot less money with his version of Guns N' Roses, and Slash goes out for a lot less money with Velvet Revolver or by himself. The amount of money they could make if they got it all back together, made a great record and toured the world would probably be as much as the Rolling Stones [get], and for them not to do it, it obviously ain't about the money. Because they could do it. I would manage them. I'd be their manager and make sure they got the right deal from all the promoters. They could be the biggest band in the world if they wanted to."

Maybe Axl throwing out that under the auspice of a hack was a way of detracting reunion / rhof discussions as they enter the states by creating rumours of anew album

Axl has got a reputation for being a bit of a prankster, wouldn't be surprised if he did it for a laugh.

5 covers in one show is a bit much although it is cool Tommy was on vocals.
If GNR have a 'new new' song or even a 'new old' song this show or the next would have been the time to bust it out.
I agree that its diffrent when you're there to being at the computer but you can't deny that shaking it up a bit doesn't hurt create some buzz and enthusiasm.

Axl is probably getting his minions to vote for RHCP so he doesn't have to attend.

So, I think they'll pull off the US tour without a hitch. Gnr is certainly a much more professional operation these days and other than the occasional fuck up axl seems to be more focussed.
The sad thing though is what happens after. I have a horrible feeling Axl will think he's done a really hard job and deserves a 2 year break. Another period of silence?

I'm not gonna bash ac/dc, they are a fucking great band and if there's anyone to pull off that voice, it's definitely Axl. and maybe he enjoys singing them, it's his bit of fun?
If you were to pick a gnr song that had the same type of vibe as wlr or riff raff 'nice boys' springs to mind.
Would be also cool if they played 'move to the city' for the gig In indaianapolis.
