Can we try to keep all the Bach/Axl/Angel Down chatter in one thread? Just makes things easier.

The problem is for smaller releases like this, the stores may not stock alot of copies.....

They are going to put it out on Interscope because that label has more muscle and money for promotion, etc....U2, Eminem and alot of other big name artists are on Interscope.

Queen of the Underworld is a cool song....thanks.

#7247 Re: The Sunset Strip » What do you think are the best produced albums? » 920 weeks ago

any of the big Beatles records from 1966 on (outside of Let it Be)-George Martin really put them over the top.
Who's Next by the Who is perfect from head to toe.
The Band-Music from Big Pink
Tool's Lateralus
Dark Side and The Wall
Radiohead's new one In Rainbows has a really "warm" feel to it

sweet....he wrote Johnny Cash's Sunday Morning Coming Down which is a flat out classic.

Well, I woke up Sunday morning
With no way to hold my head that didn't hurt.
And the beer I had for breakfast wasn't bad,
So I had one more for dessert.
Then I fumbled in my closet through my clothes
And found my cleanest dirty shirt.
Then I washed my face and combed my hair
And stumbled down the stairs to meet the day.

I'd smoked my mind the night before
With cigarettes and songs I'd been picking.
But I lit my first and watched a small kid
Playing with a can that he was kicking.
Then I walked across the street
And caught the Sunday smell of someone frying chicken.
And Lord, it took me back to something that I'd lost
Somewhere, somehow along the way.

On a Sunday morning sidewalk,
I'm wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothing short a' dying
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of the sleeping city sidewalk
And Sunday morning coming down.

In the park I saw a daddy
With a laughing little girl that he was swinging.
And I stopped beside a Sunday school
And listened to the songs they were singing.
Then I headed down the street,
And somewhere far away a lonely bell was ringing,
And it echoed through the canyon
Like the disappearing dreams of yesterday.

On a Sunday morning sidewalk,
I'm wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothing short a' dying
That's half as lonesome as the sound
Of the sleeping city sidewalk
And Sunday morning coming down.

oh, I love the Garden and Civil War much more than any of my choices for singles. However, Civil had  already been played a ton on radio when it was released on the charity album. The Garden...yeah I could see it as a first single-killer song about trippin' with an awesome Slash solo and way cool Axl vocals. Yeah, I could take out the cover songs as well...but I'm anal and wanted 20 tracks.:haha: KOHD had already been played out on radio anyway....shouldn't have been on the record. Fuck it, no cover tunes....I am amending my first post.
