I know I am old and out of touch when Matchbox 20 comes up in a "greatest" discussion...:haha: No offense to anyone, but, that guy and band, hit singles or not, aren't rockstars....by any measurement. Pure pop poop!:butt: Just my opinion obviously.

Jimmy, Oh lord no.....Tommy didn't make a penny from the Replacements or his solo stuff. Why do you think he was selling toner over the phone when Axl took him in? Axl has opened up a lot of closed doors for Tommy...solo records, now soundtracks and music scores. The Mats probably sell a few records and have a stellar reputation in the industry, but it isn't enough for Tommy to make a good living on. Axl really helped get his name back in the press....Robin most likely doesn't have much either, he was just a touring musician and he really only did a few big tours. None of these guys have a fraction of what the old band members have...Adler included! These are blue collar musicians looking for their big financial break. It doesn't mean they are any less musicians....just not as financially succesful.

They all made most of their money on the uyi tour....Izzy missed almost all of that. No way in hell Izzy has the most. I'm telling you....I bet it is Duff who has the most assets. Axl has probably sunk a good portion of his 19 million from publishing in to this unicorn of an album.:ummm:
and Axl does not own the "rights" to all the songs.......where the hell do you get that?
#7327 Re: Guns N' Roses » How much is Axl worth? » 924 weeks ago
I am fairly sure Axl will probably have more than any of them due to the 19 million he got from publishing....nobody else did that. However, if I was a betting man, I would say Duff probably invested his money the best due to his education and interest in finance. In the end, he may be the one sitting on the largest amount of liquid assets.

there is nothing that guy or the other asshole said that is interesting...first, until the record company announces a release date and final tracklist, we don't know how many songs will be on the record. We don't even know if it will ever be released. Axl himself has jumped all over the place...this guy is completely full of shit like everyone else in the gnr community.

A show is a show.....it doesn't have to have a "point" and it doesn't have to promote anything....it is entertainment. You go to rock and enjoy live music.

That was an absolutely dead on review of the Atlanta show I went to....I got some free tickets and couldn't pass up AIC and Slash (yes, the only reason I went). Both were awesome. Slash is a much better player sober...plus, I haven't seen him live since 1993!
James, you would have lost any bet about VR ticket sales vs Gnr....it was friends and family only in Atlanta...it didn't matter though because they closed off the entire lawn and moved everyone under the canopy and in to seats. It gave the show a much more intimate feel. The show was definitely better than I expected.
no way Velvet averages 8600 on this tour...no way in hell. I am sure figures will come out at the end of the year. Personally, I don't give a shit, but I do wish they would have played the show at the Tabernacle (about 3000 people and MUCH better sound).
