But it's just like when Slash left for me. I've grown to see Robin as GNR lead guitarist. I can't see anyone else do it. BUT just as Robin eventually grew on me, perhaps someone else will.
i completely agree. this is why i said i'd be here no matter what. people got over anybody in this band. this is just another one of those times
However, if another year goes by like the majority of this one with nothing, my interest could fade very quickly as this year has been a very trying year with all the silence we've endured.
don't we all say the same thing since 2002 or something

a lot of people are with you. at this moment i don't care how it gets out as long as it does.
and then there's always Randall here who promised to form a special team to raid axl's house and get the cd. btw, randall, if there's an application form of any kind, send me a copy

of course i will continue following gnr.
if he's left, it's bad news. i don't think anymore that any member leaving is a whole tragedy because in gnr land i got used to it.
i don't have time to really appreciate the guys because they're not on an album, there's always someone leaving in this band. you get used to it after a while and you just learn to take it.
am i upset he's leaving? yes, i am. will i stop follow gnr? never. as long as there will be a band called guns n' roses i'll be here. i'll accept new members and wave good-bye to the old ones, i'll buy tickets to a show no matter the line-up or the track-list because i'm there to have fun. we all bitch about a lot of things but in the end we're still here.

The new (still untitled) reality show would follow Rose and his band as they prepare for release of the album. It would include behind-the-scenes rehearsal and studio footage, as well as interviews with a number of the participants. "There is a lot of footage to choose from," said a network source. "Some of it is incredibly personal and revealing about Axl's life."
This part struck me as odd, it makes it sound like they've already been filming, how can there be footage to choose from, some of it incredibly personal if they haven't filmed anything yet?
it seemed odd to me too. it really looks like they've already started filming. i wonder when this started though?
i remember when the first hammerstein shows happened someone said there was a camera crew outside the venue talking with people and a cameraman said that the footage will be used to document the making of cd for a dvd to be released with the record. i remember it clearly because people were making fun of the no. of dvd's in the package
i know this is about a reality show but who knows. it is proof the cameras were there

you know that when a user posts on the left is says if he's online/offline. well, the offline text is still the red-ish color like the main skin and i think it should be yellow too. i know it was done really in a hurry so i'm not complaining, i just wanted to let you know

reading some threads over at HTGTH still amuses me though
it seems the attitude over there is that regardless of who is in the band this week, you're supposed to leap into blind worship mode
yeah, that's what made me stop posting there.
and it's not the problem that i should support the band no matter what, because i could do that. just let me know who's in the band. how could the main public relate to or even recognize the players when there's no album plus the continuous changes of line-up.
if robin is gone for good i hope they can pick a line-up and stick with it, maybe finally act like a real band. and even if bucket's not in it just stick with bumble and fortus and leave it be. i'd be all for that.

i think it's time for bucket too. i've already said this a few days ago. it would be the best thing that could happen.
but i don't want him and ron together. one guitar virtuoso per band is enough for me. if bucket steps in i only want robin there for rythm and some solos. hell, throw izzy in for a few guest appearances

the one thing i wonder, assuming robin left and blind-sided everyone, is: did he sign a contract with trent for the tour and what will eventually come after? because if this happened we could say bye-bye to robin and axl couldn't do shit about it.
and why i think robin left? because we don't have a clear gnr statement about this. it tells me they had no clue. which draws another question: the people in gnr are under contract or not? and if yes, does robin going the nin route mean his contract expired? and why wasn't the gnr camp aware of the fact their main guitar player's contract is due? or they were aware of it and there is already someone there to take his place and robin's contract wasn't renewed? i'm going crazy 
disclaimer: by saying that people in guns n' roses are under contract does not imply the notion of "hired guns" and it's not meant as an attack or insult towards them

and james and i have discussed this a few times...over anything else IF & When they release CD i would ideally wanna see the band who recorded the album be the band who tours it live
that's really wishful thinking. there's too many people who were there during the recordings. we know bucket is there, robin, richard, bumble, tobias, that's 5 guitar players each with their own contributions, we don't know how much each and everyone did. and there's 2 drummers also

i'm biased, i like this line-up but if i could go by preference i'd have a reunion or a bucket/fortus gnr line-up.
anyway, why do they stir shit up with every occasion? why can't my favorite band be normal for a change?
and to all people saying it doesn't mean shit that robin is going to nin for a us tour: get a fucking clue. who goes on tour with another mainstream band if their current band has an album done and "close" to release?
i think the main problem with all of us is that we found out about robin from the nin website. i, personally, would have appreciated it much more and it would have seemd a lot more logical to find out about this from axl or his "new" management team.
if they would have released something like: "we are working on releasing the album and meanwhile robin will tour with nin until we sort things out" that would have been a lot more respectful to the fans in my humble opinion. after so many years we were all on the same page, no reunion talks, a lot of positivity after the dr pepper thing, fans were positive. so, why not fuck with them another time?
