#761 Re: Guns N' Roses » What if Axl was aware of Azoff trying to get Slash back because Axl wa » 786 weeks ago

I don't think its wishful thinking at all.

Azoff wanted to get slash and maybe duff back.
Axl and Slash met up to talk.
And Weiland claims there was a possible reunion.

How is any of this wishful thinking? Its very plausable.

Axl was aware of Azoff trying to get Slash back because Axl wanted it .

Think about it more a minute.  It was rumored that Axl went to see slash to get him back in the band.  Azoff was trying to get Slash back, and Scott even said there were talks of a gnr reunion.

Lets face it IMO Axl wanted this and knew about it but it feel through, so now he has to say it was against his will so the rest of the band wont quit.

Lets be serious, I think Axl knows the  only way to be successful again is with the old guys.

What did the DJ say that was not true?

Damn, how many times will these stupid rockband files keep popping up. Anyone who thinks the songs on this album really consists of 6 highly processed group mixes needs to wake up and smell the pro-tools era. I wouldn't be surprised an over-produced album like CD would have something in the range of 30-40 tracks per song, if not more. Hell, I have the (real) master recordings of a song by the Killers and that's already 24+ tracks. My recordings are around 24-28 tracks, for fuck's sake...

You are def right because real tracks would have each players part seperated out.
You would not have BH, Robin and Ron all on one file.

You have to think on most songs you have Axl, Dizzy, Pittman, BH, Robin, Ron, Fortus, Tommy, Paul, that is already nine seperate tracks, not to mention if BH is playing acoustic and eletric on a track those would also be sepeate.

Axl should have just released a stripped down version of the album.

That would be the 2002 version of the album wink

Am I the only other one that Baz was buried in the mix?

yeah i dont think any of that stuff is gonna happen

as for a song that the rest of us dont care for..well from what iunderstand based onb peoples comments around here (and other forums) the songs hit different peopel in different ways..what i like some of you may hate (ie scraped and IRS) and what alot of you like i may think is crap (ie TIL, Prostitute) it says somethign that  the fanbase cant even decide what songs are good and what are bad (i stole your comment buzz smile ) but i take that comment in a different context even though it still rings true...Axl tried too hard to please too many instead of jsut doing what he does best...or maybe that where he's coming from...maybe he needed (or wanted) to represent a wide variety of sounds and textures in CD, (though his "little bit of somethign for everyone" comment to RS in 06 makes me doubt it) ya cant please everyone....and at times it appears that axl cant please anyone...so he might as well just do his thing and not worry about anything else....

from the shows i saw in ontario, and from his continued updates via twitter...it appears that Axl is in a good place right now....going into the Japan shows i never in a million years thought that we'd have gotten all we have so far (as far as CD songs played live and updates) its more than we ever have gotten as gnr fans in the modern era so i'm pretty satisfied to be quite honest and i have nothing to compain about at all as far as GnR are concerned

Axl does not need to please everyone, but he should at least be a smart business and do the common sense things everyone else does to promote an album you worked so hard on for so many years.  A little bit can go a long way.

At least get someone to update the offical site. That along would be a huge improvement.

#769 Re: Guns N' Roses » Rumors building up regarding CDII release date... » 789 weeks ago

Axl should just release a box set of the CD sessions from 99-2006 then write a new album with the current band.  Axl probably has a bunch of lyrics to unfished songs this band could use. I think it would be a lot better than this band just covering what BH and Robin write.

DJ can write some good songs, and Ron has written stuff for his solo album.
We all know Tommy and Pitman can also write. So I think they could write an album pretty quickly.

First off sorry to everyone for my stupid thread it seemed like a good idea at the time but it got out of control, sorry to everyone I pissed off.

I know I could have posted this link in the download area, James can move it there if he wants but I just wanted everyone to see it.

Its pretty rare and most may not have seen this before unless they live in the UK.

So enjoy and here is my truce gift.
