Same shit different year!
I used to think that Axl's unpredictable behaviour might mean we wait 15years for an album then get a barrage of music in a short space of time.
Clearly not.

yeah the darkness are back !!!
This is huge for me anyway, that first album is one of my all time favorites.
Its awesome...only the latest gigs are for Download ticket holders only...:flame:
When I first watched the Darkness live I had a big smile accross my face all through the gig
If they record again I hope they inject some of that AC/DC/Queen Classic Rock influence that made Permisssion to land so great.

Mygnr and HTGTH are absolutely BRUTAL NOW...especially Mygnr where it is just unfiltered garbage constantly. On top of that, any site that has it's homepage news feed with headlines of shit from 2-4 years ago is run by a complete idiot. At least Jarmo stays consistent with his tactics and updates people with current information.
Yeah, I admire him for that. Don't get me wrong I still go there and have for years. Its a good service, but It would be better if they cut the forum or restricted it to just news, information and interviews with the band. Discussion is too one sided....

Winds me up the whole 'fan thing'. Seems at another forum I shan't mention it would appear that to be a 'fan' it means you must unconditionally love, support and agree with everything the band does. Even if that means turning up at shows 1-2 hrs late and then having the set cut, releasing scented candles as merchandise and discrediting other singers to push your 'idol' to number one in polls.
Its healthy for any organisation to have a diffrence of opinion amongst its members/followers/fans/employees etc. GNRevolution is a great middle ground between the stupidity of some forums and the blind loyalties of others. More people should come here!

Wasn't the problem with the alternate version that securing the rights to all the artwork would've cost a packet?* And Merck/Azoff/Best Buy/whoever just wanted to rush-release the thing as part of the scheme to force Axl into a reunion...
*Mind you, that doesn't explain why there are copies out there. Which I would cheerfully gnaw off my own arm for, by the way.
I guess another question is would we all have been prepared to wait another 12 months for the booklet? At the time, probably not!
Re-release starts now!
#766 Re: Guns N' Roses » GN'R Twitter Updates » 746 weeks ago
They'll probably play the usual set then release a pic of the setlist after the gig with lots of new songs listed that they just forgot to play.
Part of me wants them to release an album before playing anything new. The cd release was such a downer we'd heard most of the songs!
#767 Re: The Sunset Strip » What Are You Listening To? » 746 weeks ago

She's talented but it's boring me now!

Hang on, one minute 'we're working on songs every day' the next minute he can't wait to sit down and write?
#769 Re: Guns N' Roses » Chinese Democracy now $1.99 » 747 weeks ago
When he was young Axl would have done anything to get the gnr name out there. He had drive, energy and passion. They did all their own promo.
I'm afraid 'its so easy' these days. There's nothing to fight for. Maybe that might change as he sees his career coming to an end. Ac/dc were on the radio yesterday talking about a new album. Totally into it. Axl needs a reason. Maybe he should have been a lawyer, he seems to enjoy that.

Axl doesn't have to whore himself to the media. A few strategically chosen intrerviews, an appearance on Jules Holland, a little bit of effort could have gone along way. After 13 years of pissing about in the studio you'd have thought a bit of promo would have been nothing in comparison (and a bit of fun for the band!).
