They had GNROnline in the late 90s/early 00s and that got shut down because people were posting Axl's phone number and shit.

Then they got a new site for 2006 which had some cloaked in mystery connection to Major League Baseball no one knows about. Merck-merckiness. It had news headlines, tour dates, and a link to the merch store (separate website) and that was about it.
Then they finally got a proper website in 2012 before the UCAP tour which actually contained the New GNR logo (the shitty one they put on Chinese Democracy album cover, not the classic logo or that star logo they used in either 2002 or 2006). It's actually slightly better than the current website in a lot of ways. There was a page with information about each of their albums. No pictures (you had to be a Nightrain member to get Kat's "awesome" black and white pics). Links to web stores (iTunes/Amazon) and social media.

The instrumental leaks were Better, two TWATs, and the IRS.
The Rock Band 2 stems leaked later on after CD was released but not true instrumentals there.

I went in 2012 (my first post here on Evo) but it was clear it was a nostalgia / just for money thing at that point.
That was clear in 2009.
They did have a CD heavy setlist on the first leg but that Ashba lineup was going nowhere fast. Its still shocking that he was ever brought in.
True but just the massive stage and all and Axl shows up looking like a portly doorman.

It was IRS, TWAT, another song, and instrumentals of all three.

After the fappening and the emergence of "deep" or "dark" web in pop culture, I often thought if the key to the hoarders is Tor and bitcoin.
It's entirely possible some sophisticated music hoarder has Chinese session songs and traffics there but I get the impression whomever has it is 40-50 and generally keeps off the internet.
