Guns N' Roses' long-awaited UK tour and festival appearances are in doubt after Axl Rose tweeted that all of the band's upcoming dates have been cancelled.
The group had been due to play their first British arena shows in four years, as well as headlining the Reading and Leeds festivals at the end of the month.
Their official website still lists the festival appearances among the upcoming shows on the band's Chinese Democracy World Tour.
October's gigs at London's O2 Arena, Birmingham's LG Arena and the Manchester MEN Arena also remain listed.
Axl Rose's tweet, sent at 10pm on Sunday (BST), read: "All upcoming Guns N' Roses dates are officially cancelled. Please contact your place of purchase for any refunds."
Organisers for the Reading and Leeds festivals, which will be held on August 27 to 29, told Sky News they are "looking into" Rose's comments.
"As soon as we've got news we'll put it out," a spokesperson said.
No official announcement has been issued and other members of the band are reported to have joined fans in shock at the tweet.
New guitarist Dj Ashba made no reference to the cancellation when tweeting a few hours later.
Instead he wrote: "Still in rapid city Buying guns with Axl, just bought me a smith & w. 44 snub nose!! America F%#k yeah!"
Since first posting in December 11 last year, Rose has used his verified Twitter account feed to update fans with news on upcoming shows and reflect on the band's appearances.

No, that's bullshit. The same people who have been saying the same bullshit are still saying the same bullshit they've been saying during every other "incident" that comes along. This twitter thing is just an excuse to say it again. And then of course there's D, who's perspective changes depending on whatever message board he's on at the moment.
But people acting like this is some kind of huge outrage is more than a little of an overreaction, and, tbh, is a bit ridiculous and childish.
Now, if you've had something brewing for a while, like Russ, and this somehow sets you off, that's one thing. But acting like this is a huge deal is just stupid. It's a hacked twitter account. It's happened to a shit load of celebrities. AND IT JUST HAPPENED.
Did he actually post it then turn around and change his mind? Maybe. But acting like he did, for a fact, do it is what's truly bullshit.
All I see are a bunch of people either overreacting or using this incident like they do with every other incident invloving GNR in the last ten years, to insert more of their assumptions and opinions about shit that doesn't really matter.
Yeah, you don't care about GNR anymore or Axl. What's new. That's why you can't stop fucking talking about them.
Well said!!
I saw the GNR-tweet about the Axl-tweet and just tought "Oh well just another hacked account. Happens all the fucking time..."
Then I come here and people are besides themselvs with anger..
I feel bad for Russ though...
That stuff about about Ron not being happy on stage kinda reminds me of the first show in Norway back in May. He seemed really pissed at Axl back then as well.
But like Ron said to someone, nobody has left the band. So they're obviously talking about stuff off stage, and work shit out.
They're just people....

Reading the updates/reports from the different boards, there doesn't seem to be a lot of US-harcore-fans at the gig.
Wierd, considering it's the first real gig in the US since 2006.
Sure I know it's in the middle of nowhere for a lot of you guys, but seems like you can count the boardmembers from the different boards in attendence on one hand...

Probably because he realized GN'R was dead. The GN'R he loved. Hate to be so bleak, but I always felt that's why Loder flew the GN'R coop... they actually had one.
Didn't Loder give an awesome review of the RIR-show back in '01...?
And he seemed really exited about the band in those backstage interviews in '02.
Or are you saying Loder is a BH-Brain-era kinda fan?

Don't know if you guys listened to that interview of Alan Niven a few weeks back...
Anyway, he had some interesting info on the MTV Ritz show.
Apparently it was intended to be a Great White-show with GNR as the opening act. But Niven managed to arranged it so that both bands got their own full show.
GNR was getting too big to open for Great White....

Sure, you can twist it either way you choose, depending on your preference...
#777 Re: Guns N' Roses » Bumblefoot interview » 777 weeks ago
...Axl seems personally involved and overseeing a lot of these things - to an extent that I suspect most band front men are not - or at least that's the way it appears on the outside...
I think I read somewhere that Axl was inspired by Mick Jagger when opening for Stones, to take a more "hands-on"-kinda role on the buisness side of the band. Apparently Mick would go directly off stage to meetings with the merch-sales-guys and go through the sales of that night etc etc...

^^ Agreed!
CDII ftw!! I know some love to paint the devil on the wall and predict the worst for new-GNR.
I like to take the positive rumours and hope for the best!

Breakdown is awesome!
Anybody else notice that Axl has sorta like a...don't know excactly how to describe it... sorta like a liquid-hairball-buble at the back of his throat when he sings the word "fire" in the first verse?

Cool and funny interview! Thanx for posting...
That stuff about Axl was just pure gold!
