The Fragile's a masterpiece. Good taste.

The FBI's more of a gang than the Juggalos. I wouldn't call it government tyranny, now or ever. The bastards are basically rogue.

I've said it for a few years now. Vinyl for the collector's market with a free download code to a high quality mp3 version of the album. (One of the few promotional aspects I believe ChiDem got right.) There's a misconception that collectors are still buying CDs, and we're simply not. There's just not enough value for me to spend in the ballpark of $15-20 for something that cost 35 cents and also comes in the available option of free download. See, raising the price of an inferior quality product and taking kids to court didn't save the record industry. Truth is, CDs have long been dead. The only CDs I still buy are for exactly the same reasons as monkeychow. In fact, having these downloads available in the kinds of high quality that most of us audiophiles would prefer is the next battle left to wage.

If Axl's been "late" for not only the past 25 years, but late to Monday night's show, Tuesday night's show, and you have tickets to Wednesday night's show and get pissed when midnight rolls around ... get a fucking grip or don't buy a ticket. I'm so, so, so sick of hearing about the late start times. You know he's always late. You know he may not show up. Quite frankly, going to a show where he doesn't show up would probably be more of a memory to you and everyone else in the crowd than if he actually did show up anyway. So please, let's all just drop the late start bullshit. You roll the dice when you buy a ticket to a GN'F'nR's show. Just because Axl's fanbase has predominantly become over-privileged, whiney, middle aged sellout dipshits who need to have their Hyundai in the driveway by 9 PM to get the kids in bed doesn't require Axl Rose, the last standing Rock Star, to "grow up" with you.
That's not an attack on anyone who's posted in this thread, and more of my commentary on the running topic of late starts. It's a topic that's been played out like a fucking Jheri curl for the past 15 years at least.

Von classifies Juggalos as "pathetic."

Last flick I watched was the original (and superior) Amityville Horror. Sure, Rod Steiger's full tilt boogie performance goes beyond camp, but James Brolin's slow descent into madness is still an unnerving classic. (Take that, Ryan Reynolds!) Margot Kidder's pretty cute in this one, too. You know, before she went bat shit crazy post-Superman and her career tanked. I mean, she's no Adrienne Barbeau, but there's something so much more respectable about a 70s/80s scream queen versus her more modern contemporaries. Bottom line: it's still scary. Probably scarier than whatever you might be thinking of checking out at the cinemas this Halloween weekend.
Me? I'm forgoing the trials and tribulations of attempting to scare up the Halloween spirit with a mediocre, mainstream shitshow this year. My Gonzo-centric ass is going to see The Rum Diary. Full report ... soon.
