LOL, I didn't even notice that. I was just shocked that they released an actual music video since it's been so long.
I made sure to watch the whole thing after I clicked on it just in case they decided to pull it down. We’re so jaded!

I'm going into anaphylactic shock.
A real video....The General next....it almost feels like summer 91 again!
What a turnaround from the Jukebox fiasco.
For the love of God put Oklahoma on tlaunch pad next.
Video not the greatest but I'm not complaining. They finally did one.
It would still be nice to hear them talk about the song or do some interviews to push things along, but at least this is something. Did not expect that at all. I was hoping for a lyric video at best. Maybe they’re finally getting their shit together? We can only hope. Still have no idea what the end game is here, especially after The General. That will feel like Christmas. An actual song we haven’t heard before? Is that possible?

An actual music video? What bizarro world are we living in?

I work in the industry. Perhaps was supposed to be out today and Atlas scheduled for November. There were talks of getting The General in a movie soundtrack, but it looks like that fell apart too. Word is Axl pulled the plug to stick it to the studios with all the strike action thats going on, which has caused bad blood with the label and now Perhaps is up in the air.
It'll be nonsense.
Atlas would be listed on the database, if it was there would be more of a footprint on the Internet.
The movie soundtrack would have to track back to a personal conversation with Axl/Slash/Duff, management, or Sujata/Todd, and they do not talk. Being in the 'industry' gets you lite information on Perhaps and nothing more
Ok thanks….
I like the artworkNow we all wait to see if they actually release perhaps on Friday
I can’t imagine this snafu would delay the release (again). Like many have mentioned, who cares that a couple thousand (tops) people got to hear or were seeking out subpar quality versions of an unreleased song. That won’t affect sales whatsoever. And sales aren’t likely to shatter any records anyway. Just release it on Friday, start playing it live, and continue on with whatever the plan is. Another song released in a few months? There’s no need to reverse course because someone made a mistake. They should have really embraced it and used it as free publicity, but they seem to be so jilted over the countless CD leaks over the last 20 years. Times have changed. We’re all older and wiser, I’d like to think. This isn’t preventing world domination or anything. Those days are gone and the inspiration is gone anyway it seems.

Sigh. How can they be so tone deaf on this stuff? The leaks get people talking about your band and gives it free pub and generates interest in the product (and might lead to more ticket sales).
Instead they go with the usual response which will piss off a bunch of people.
I could almost understand them getting upset if they had some grand master plan and this somehow detailed that. But what are the chances of that? They’ve given us no inclination that there’s any means to an end here. We got two singles a few years back and the god damn physical release was like a year later and even that was delayed. If they were even the slightest bit open and honest or ever spoke aboit anything noteworthy, this shit probably wouldn’t happen. But everything is shrouded in secrecy, so this is what we get. And we don’t get upset. It’s not worth losing sleep over anymore. We all learned that long ago.
#76 Re: Guns N' Roses » If GNR releases nothing in 2023, is this the end for you? » 100 weeks ago
I think a driven manager would have a different relationship with him than an enabling novice, dependent quasi relative who’s invested in keeping things the way they are and afraid to rock the boat.
Merck, Azoff, Peter Katsis, Doc McGhee all tried to manage GNR/Axl in the span of 8 years or so. That’s a lot. None met Axl’s approval. He was miserable, for a variety of reasons, but he certainly didn’t feel like management was in his corner. He’s been in a much happier place since TB took over. He’d rather have it that way, even if they don’t have any experience managing a major act.
Maybe things would be a little different now that the pressure of a reunion is gone, but I’m guessing he’d rather stick with what he knows at this point. I don’t get the sense that Axl is supremely motivated to get new material out to the masses. I put the blame far more on him than TB for not getting more songs/an album released. Even with the last 2 singles, no interviews, promo, etc. Just endless touring. That’s where we are. Maybe a change is on the horizon? We’ll see. At least it appears he’s in good physical shape and his voice is as strong as it has been in years for this latest round of dates. So maybe it’s more than going through the motions this time. We can only hope.

Man did KC get some favorable calls against Cincy. I know people like to say the NFL is rigged and they wanted Mahomes in the SB over Cincinnati, and there may be some truth to that. But ultimately Cincinnati could've overcome all those bad calls that went against them. They just played like assholes down the stretch.
I like the Eagles over the Chiefs. I know they've played a really easy schedule and haven't faced many good or even decent QBs this year, but I just think they're a more well rounded team. Mahomes is obviously a huge factor and the Chiefs have the experience but Hurts ain't so bad himself.
And Tom Brady announced his retirement (again) today. I think this time it's for real. This season was draining for him on and off the field. He should've just stayed retired looking back, but he's such a competitor. Easier said than done. He just looked checked out this year at times and didn't seem to have that same fire. I know they got killed against the Cowboys, but even when they were showing some signs of life he just didn't have that same intensity. The Bucs sneakily sucked this year, and Brady wasn't the issue. Problem is though, in years past he has done more with less talented rosters. They still had good WR and a decent defense. But their run game was non existent and the offensive line was pretty awful all around. I think he finally just had enough and it's become too difficult to lift a team onto his shoulders like he's done so many times in the past. I was blessed to see him play in every home game and some on the road in person from 2007-2019. I can certainly tell you it's a far different experience and feeling walking into Gillette Stadium post Brady. With Brady, you never thought they were out of it despite how bleak things may have looked. There will never be another winner like him. Yes, the rules are catered to QBs these days, but multiple guys go down every week with serious injuries. Tom Brady didn't miss a single game after he missed basically the entire 2008 season with a torn ACL/MCL. He played 14 god damn seasons straight without missing a game at a position where he's in harm's way basically every offensive play. That is probably even more impressive than the 7 SB rings. Mahomes is great, but how long is he going to last? He's had some pretty serious injuries in his short career so far. And most of the other young stud QBs use their legs a lot more and are more susceptible to big hits. Pure pocket passers with great pocket awareness are a dying breed. So we may see QBs with greater abilities for a shorter time. But no one will be putting up the numbers he was still putting up in his god damn mid 40s. Ridiculous! The best to ever do it, hands down.

I had no idea that he was acquainted with her in any capacity
It was defo touching, but he needs to give up on the falsetto...cmon Axl just rearrange the songs for mid to low register...ur voice isn't built to sing up there anymore
I tend to remember her being in attendance at the LA club reunion shows, but didn't know they were good friends.

Late to the party here, but I echo the sentiments that the Ritz concert is awesome! It really captures their essence during their ascent to stardom before things got completely bloated. Don't get me wrong, I love it all. But the difference is so apparent. They were still one extremely cohesive unit. Too bad Steven couldn't stick around, but Matt mixed in without skipping a beat. I watched the show by myself and then put it on while playing with my 5 year old daughter. My wife wasn't too thrilled with that when she got home. I was responsible and turned the volume down or skipped over the profanities, at least I tried. I haven't listened to much else though from the box set.

Nice to hear you're all having a great time at the shows. Funny reading about the stamina to just watch a show though. I remember feeling that 10 years ago and I was in my 30s. I go to football games now and tailgate 4 hours prior to the game, stand and cheer for 3 hours, then tailgate after the game. My legs are pretty shot the next day. I know people make fun of Axl for being out of shape, but it makes you think a little differently. I need like a full day to recover, they're out there doing it multiple nights a week and they're in their 50s/60s, well except for Mellisa.
