What if they sell it as two boxsets (an orange one and a blue one) each priced at a $1000 and released on the same day 16

If they sell it at a realistic price, I'd be in favor of such a release. It would mean that they're clearing out the UYI archives for the release.

Orange box

UYI I
UYI I demos
91 live audio/video

Blue box

UYI II
UYI II demos
92-93 live audio/video

It would be best case scenario...but if they try to sell each box for more than 120-150 bucks, it's gonna bomb.

I’d like to think they’ve learned the lesson of the massively overpriced Appetite boxset but the cynic (and realist) in me expects the set to be similarly over priced

I saw UK Guns N’ Roses about half a dozen times. Had a blast every time. They’ve packed it in now sadly.

The ISRC code for Absurd is USUG12103950, and the ISRC code for Hard Skool is USUG12103961.

Sometimes for albums, the codes run as a numerical sequence (I think this happened with CD and other GN'R releases), so this could imply that an entire album has been handed over, and that Hard Skool is 11 tracks after Absurd on the album. Nothing is registered on the numbers in between, but there are other tracks for other artists before and after these codes.

Of course, it might mean nothing

Hopefully means something. How did you find this?

The ISRC is generally found on streaming sites, or song directory sites. It doesn't conclusively mean anything, I think Better had a slightly earlier reference to the rest of CD, but if the band have submitted a batch of songs, they can follow a sequence that matches the tracklist

Gotcha.

What do you think are the chances of a digital album release this year with physical copies to follow in 2022 (maybe when the tour ramps back up)?

I’m still hoping, but the argument remains - why release an album when the EP’s not even been released yet? neutral

I don’t know a lot about this stuff but maybe Hard Skool was the 11th UMG release after Abusurd? Can anyone check this?

#76 Re: Guns N' Roses » Hard School Physical Release » 193 weeks ago

I suspect that to be the case. No Bucket, Robin or Tobias on the tracks means no dollars for them, unless of course they had a hand in penning the tracks. Totally agree with what you say in regards to the quality of Hard Skool compared to the demo. I make no bones about the fact that I love that period of Guns with Bucket and Brain in the band more so than any other. I only hope there’s another locker style leak, otherwise I sadly fear the tracks will never be heard

I read from that statement that’s all the new music we’re getting until way into next year

#78 Re: Guns N' Roses » GN'R 2021 Tour Thread » 197 weeks ago

It’s shit. And there’s no claim of being entitled to want and expect new music from this band. It’s sad that GnR has come to this. The only reason I still listen to their music and visit the forums is because the band had such a huge impact on me in my adolescent years. Someone said above that Axl likely feels he’s gonna sound shit singing this song live. I have a feeling there may be an element of truth to that.

That sucks. The momentum and excitement created by Absurd has already faded to zilch

#80 Re: Guns N' Roses » GN'R 2021 Tour Thread » 198 weeks ago

They wouldn’t, simple as that. And it sucks for us

So dysfunctional it’s unreal. But, while the tour dollars keep rolling in….
