#811 Re: Guns N' Roses » GN'R to play RIR 2013? » 673 weeks ago

Google translation, but you can get the point:

http://translate.google.com/translate?h … 36965.html

'Do not invite to the same stage Roberto Medina and Elton John and Axl Rose. Just hearing the name of two stars that were exhibited at Rock in Rio for the Godfather of the biggest music event on the planet scowl. "A (Axl) has come too late and did not respect the public. The other made a show beyond bureaucratic"'

And Axl Rose? What happened to him this time?
I think there's a lack of commitment and respect to the public with the huge delay (there were more than two hours).
So the two are scratched from your notebook?
Ah, yes. And Axl had that thing connecting with the Rock in Rio, but was unfortunate.

He'll go but they don't want him nowhere near one of their concerts anymore. I think it's safe to say the same applies to Leeds.

I say fake.

Axl had a BIG fallout with Medina, Rock In Rio organizer.

I really doubt GN'R will headline RIR again, unless if with a reunion.

Also, RIR in Buenos Aires, Madrid, Lisbon... My god...

Also, note how the mix is different from the 2005/2006 leak AND from the album release. This is a 2007 version with different mix and a lot less synchs...

Better was slated to appear on a Harley Davidson commercial in 2007. Since the album wasn't released, they went with Paradise City.

I'm pretty sure the commercial was to be around the album/single release and I'm confident Better was to be THE single. Even a video was in the works, that never materialized.

What makes me worry though, is Axl's "Big Gun " speech and CD somehow being the first single.

never woulda dreamed CD, Blues and Maddy were the big guns but damn, they were.

TWAT, Prostitute were his big guns, and probably some others that were eventually left off CD - YEARS after he made that statement.

Mountain = Mole hill.

Also "Better".

What I think the most is that if GNR were to release all their materials in a more conventional way, they wouldn't have their mythic status of prolific classic songs all around.

long and boring day at work, I might have missed a few tracks here and there, did it all by memory. I was trying to remember the other Iggy and The Stooges track that was recorded for TSI? but never used.

Would they be praised as they are today if they have chosen to release more records instead of releasing all they had by 1991?

In 1997, given the band fails to deliver another album, Geffen Releases a double album, "The Spaghetti Incident?" containing B-Sides and left overs. "Since I Don't Have You" is the biggest hit of the album. It was based on a project of the band to release a covers album in 1994. Critics like the album and praise it as the end of Guns N' Roses, that suffers from the 10 year period most bands don't pass.

In 1999, enraged by the release of "The Spaghetti Incident?", Axl Rose haults recordings of the Guns N' Roses albums and releases his first solo album, "2000 Intentions". To this day it's impossible to tell if GN'R will ever reunite and record again. 16

That was floating around before CD release.

Fake, I guess.
