Too drunk to read it all but I never want Gnr (the original band) to come back and release shit like Aerosmith and AC/DC do now. Aerosmith was done in 1977...Gnr was done in 1991. AC/DC was done with Back in Black. The Stones were done after Some Girls in 78...I would rather see Axl and the new guys forge their own path than be crushed by a shit "original" Gnr new studio album. That being said, I would like to see Axl and Slash do something together.
I really like Permanent Vacation and Pump - I'd be happy for GNR to get together if they could release albums of that quality, but I agree I'd rather they leave it alone if all we got was a load of half assed ballads. Although I don't think Axl would let that happen

Whats funny is that other than the tour Axl still hasn't done any promotion...no interviews, videos etc. Is he leaving it to the other band members?

I suppose it depends on the style and quality of material they've got leftover from the CD sessions. If its sub par, then maybe just bury it and move on?

This is the man that left out Brian May, I wouldn't be surprised if he asked them to completely re-record CD2
A question I have - if Axl 'handed over' 30 something tracks to the record company, can they release the remainder or publish them in anyway without his authority? I seemed to remember Universal signed a big deal with Axl years back for publishing rights - even with the release of CD they must be still out of pocket for the new era

Well they've engaged a manager and they're definitely making more of an effort to promote the band. They're definitely becoming more 'open'.
If he has an album worth releasing, the next few months would be a great time to put it out. No one expects it and it would certainly kill off some of the delay criticisms. But you can bet one thing - If Axl goes with it, its going to be promoted a lot more than Chinese Democracy was.
Is he really in NY to discuss an album though? It could equally be tour discussions, do you not think? Especially if they have been w/out manager Axl could have been doing some of the 'business' himself.

I'm sure a few bloodied participants would have been noticed to be fair
But the livedaily wesbite says apparently he was considering cancelling the gigs - maybe this was just an assumption that was made as he was travelling separately

According to LiveDaily.com, GUNS N' ROSES singer Axl Rose got into a scuffle with a paparazzo at Los Angeles International Airport while waiting to board a flight to Taipei to start the band's tour that will take them through Asia this month with Canada and South America to follow next year. Although the report states that the altercation "ended up with a few bloodied participants," airport police tell RollingStone.com they have no record of the incident.
Tommy Stinson, Dizzy Reed, Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, Chris Pittman, Frank Ferrer, Richard Fortus and new member DJ Ashba traveled to Taipei earlier in the week and have already done a soundcheck without Rose.
After Taipei, GUNS N' ROSES is scheduled to play Seoul, Korea on Dec. 13 then Osaka, Japan (Dec. 16) and Tokyo (Dec. 19). The 16-date Canadian tour starts in Winnipeg on Jan. 13.

I'm just as interested to see if they add some more UYI songs as much as the CD songs we haven't heard
I'm also guessing they will play 'if the world' as it was on that set list that got uploaded to the gnr website on the last tour.
