Prolly right, James...
Either way, it's cool to know that someone in the GNR-camp is thinking along those lines!

Did Bumblefoot have a good ol' slip of the toungue there, saying that Axl owes a lot of money...? He said something like that somewhere in the beginning of the interview, don't know when... (I didn't bother to rewind, cause I had a hard time skipping back and forth to find where the interview started)
Cool interview nonetheless....
He had a cool little dream-scenario for GNR. In between legs of the tour, they go into the studio, record a song, put it out there, people buy tickets to a show, they get the song and they play the song live!
I like that utopia!!!
#823 Re: Guns N' Roses » Dj Ashba and Dizzy Reed: "We're working on a new album" » 783 weeks ago
here's an idea they should consider for the new album:
Limit number of drummers to 1
Limit each track's rythm guitar parts to 3 (at most)
dont' have like 4 lead guitarists in the band at once
Little less Dizzy & Chris, little more everybody else.
How do you decide what to wear each morning...?
You want less of almost everything, yet you want more from everybody....
#824 Re: Guns N' Roses » GNR's most ridiculous and WTF moments » 784 weeks ago
I have a ridiculous and WTF "insider-story". Does that count...?
For the show in Bergen, Norway, we all heard the story that Axl landed at the airport 20:15 the night of the show, right...?
I have been thinking a little bit about that. U know, if one of the stops on the way had caused a little delay, there would be no show.
I'm not in a habit of making up "insider-stories", but hey, Norway has a small population of people...
Turns out a guy I know knows a guy, who was at the airport earlier that day to pick up Axl. The guy is a trained bodyguard (or something) and works with various VIP's.
Well, he was told to just go home, because Axl was in London and there was no use in waiting. From what I understood, Axl was supposed to arrive in a special charted jet. All they (promotor) knew was that the plane didn't arrive when it was shceduled and that Axl was in London.
At the arena, there was understandebly a lot of anxious people running back and forth. Nobody knew anything! (I bet the rest of the band was not excactly liking the situation. Could axplain the straind and lukewarm atmosphere during the show that evening. Well, at least Bumblefoot seemed pissed off about something. A few days later he tweeted and apologized for not being in the best of spirits during the Norway shows) Just my speculation...
Anywayshhh....
At some point (prolly around 21:00) Axl just calmly walks in the dressingroom. Story goes he took a "regular plane" from London and took a cab from the airport....
Talk about cutting it a bit close!
I guess the charted jet arrived sometime during the night, because according to Ashba's tweets, he, Axl and Dizzy took "the early bird to Oslo"...
I blame Axl and his wierd "professional"-Brazillian-personal-manager-family for the poor planning and poor performances in Norway!!!
OK! That's it! I'm not gonna bitch more about my disappointment over the Norwegian shows, I swear!

#826 Re: Guns N' Roses » Better video Promo » 785 weeks ago
When did Axl wear the cowboy hat?
Lookin' sharp
On every show for the past six months? I think....
#827 Re: Guns N' Roses » Better video Promo » 785 weeks ago
When I first watched it I thought: "Cool tour promo" Thinking about the string of European dates coming late summer/fall.
The I read on the forum, and a lot of people think it's the Better video...
I don't think it is. Why would it say 2010 in there....
Smells like a tour-promo to me! And a cool one!

When Ashba amd Dizzy go public in mainstream Norwegian media and say "we're working on a new album", I can only assume they're talking about "CDII" and not a NEW new album. As far as the genral public knows, "CDII" would be a NEW new album. If you know what I mean... ?
I'm excited about this! There must have been some progress in this regard, since Ashba and Dizzy are allowed to talk about it!

For most of the tour so far (Asia, Canada, South- and Central-America), Axl have seemed to be in a good mood, on fire and the reviews have been mostly great! Remember those reviews from Canada?! Cool, huh?
Am I taking my negative experience in Bergen and Oslo a bit too personal? I might, for reasons I have explained earlier... I will try not to dwell on it anymore. Nobody likes a partypooper (that's a word, right?)...
All in all, things are not looking too doom and gloom for GNR. If rumours are to believe, they've got something in the works, and I might be able to see them again in the next couple of years! And I'll be there first in line! Well... not first in line, but I'll be there!!
DCK !!

Don't remember exactly when Danko ended their set. But I think GNR went on about 2 hours after Danko. I was busy chatting with a friend I hadn't seen in a long time, buying beer and checking out merch!
But I heard or read somewhere that Danko played a longer set than they were scheduled to, in order to minimize "dead time" until Axl was ready... Smart enough!
According to the ticket, doors opened at 18:30.
