#851 Re: Guns N' Roses » Chinese Democracy Limited Deluxe Box Set Coming Soon » 875 weeks ago

I really don't 'buy' deluxe packs with t-shirts key rings etc. If I want those I'll buy them separately. And given that a significant proportion of GNR fans are now probably past the point of wearing band merchandise day in day out I', completely behind Axlin08 here, either more music, a dvd, or a book / photo history would be the only things that would make me interested in a deluxe pack

#852 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Steven Adler OWNS all new GNR drummers » 876 weeks ago

I don't agree with you there monkeyman - there are lots of quite bland drummers, but then you have John Bonham, Iain Paice, Mitch Mitchell, Mike Portnoy, Vinnie Paul, Dave Lombardo, Lars (tentatively), drummers who either are extraordinarily talented or have a very unique or original style that is hard to replicate.

I grew up to GNR and Steven was a big influence...he had that swagger and groove plus that smile and big hair...perfect antidote to angry axl!

#853 Re: Guns N' Roses » Is "Sorry" Axl's F.U. to the fans? » 876 weeks ago

I like the song, but I would have thought he could rise above that kind of personal attack on those around him by now. Its as if the music has developed but the themes are the same.

#854 Re: Guns N' Roses » Guns N' Roses update official site » 876 weeks ago

If chinese democracy sells boatloads of cds (millions) then I'd be surprised if the the thought of returning to gnr doesn't torment them on a daily basis (whether they like the thought or not). I bet they thought thos day would never happen.

#855 Re: Guns N' Roses » Rankings/comments on all the new songs » 877 weeks ago

I'll come back to you in a couple of weeks. Haven't heard the new new songs and I want to hear the old leaks the way they were intended  by Axl

#856 Re: Guns N' Roses » Freese leaves NIN - Robin stays(?) » 878 weeks ago

Something to remember...Bucket has rejoined before. Maybe a bigger coop or his own personal chicken tour bus might be enough to persuade him to come back...

#858 Re: Guns N' Roses » To Bucket, GNR is a 'dirty word' » 878 weeks ago

I love Bucket's work, haven't heard much of his other stuff but GNR and The Big Eyeball in The Sky impressed me.

The question I had, is what did he expect when he got involved with Axl? He's hardly renowned for being 'normal' or 'easy to work with' or even releasing albums regularly

I really hope we hear more of Bucket's contributions on future albums.

#859 Re: Guns N' Roses » The Rolling Stone Review-Chinese Democracy » 878 weeks ago

Well I just got classic rock - no review yet, but an article on mister saint laurent and the leaks. They reckon the most recent leaks (not incl. Sorry etc) are from a version of cd handed to the label in 2006.

#860 Re: Guns N' Roses » Did you buy Chinese Democracy single on Itunes? » 878 weeks ago

Nope - I agree there's not much in this for the hardcore fans that will buy the album.

To be fair I think this isn't really aimed that the hardcore fans.
