What's to be asked here is, why is Axl (apparently) reluctant to have a meeting with Uni brass about releasing an album.

I think he knows it's his last shot. The pressure abounds. Soon is not the word.

Chinese was supposed to be his big comeback album. Relaunch GN'R into popular consciousness and re-establish Axl as a creative genius. Make the old band look bad. Then that failed big time.

There's also the aging rockstar, spurned record company, and old material/old players angles as well.

I don't think those "1999" pics are accurate. They seem to fit in 95-96 canon more.

His appearance starts to change around 1998 in a consistent direction.

The rollercoaster pic is super badass.

I'm disappointed the band waited this long for a reunion. Axl does not have the vocal or physical presence he did even 10 years earlier. He's still good but it very much isn't what it would have been if it were done earlier - and there seems to be no actual reason it wasn't done earlier.

Axl died on his Chinese Democracy cross. That's the reason.

I'm surprised Adler played with them at all. Nice moment. I get the appeal of Sorum's drumming (and that Frank is underwhelming) but that guy can go pound sand.

And lastly, I love Guns music but individualistic greed is pretty much their thing. I mean it's like complaining about an adulteress for cheating on you...

I look at it this way. The old Guns always liked playing shows more than they liked writing and recording music. It was a slow process of building that snowman overtime.

I'm willing to extend them a grace period but a year is starting to push it. Especially when Axl has a stockpile of completed songs, working songs, and sketches from over the years.

But the grace period is reasonable to some degree. A thawing feud, a relationship on the mend. And I can't think of a reunion album that's ever been good. It's better done right or not done at all. But rock music's relevance is at an all time low. Oh and albums, what's an album?

Where do we go now? Probably back to the mansion to munch some tacos before the apocalypse. Also Taco Bell.

I think Pitman jumping ship and that whole drama was evident of the direction things were going.

The end of the year will be the actual rubicon but eh, things don't look good.

It makes sense.

Cena is the wrestling celebrity. He's your brand ambassador.

He's the new Hogan. Light schedule. Show up, do the five knuckle shuffle, believe in yourself kids.

Taker put over the guy who will never leave and always put in work. Do I like it? No. Is it good entertainment? No. Is it good wrestling? No. But it makes sense.

I wanted Chinese Democracy II.

Yesterdays got nothin' for me.

Taker needed to hang em up years ago.

Bummer ending to a great career.

The Hardy Boyz tho...

Here's the part I don't get

Take what you're supposed and do the opposite and you've figured out WWE's modus operandi.

And you know Reigns will get boooed out of the building when he wins.

Taker is a company man. Reigns is their company man of the future.

Taker jobs for Roman. Brock beats Goldberg. Roman beats Brock next year.

Bray though was just the wrong person, even by that point he was a mid carder who lost all the big matches and only really beat Bryan

I just think Bray was or is super over. I remember Rob Lowe I think tweeting about him. Or someone.

Like most things in WWE, he's completely wasted on them.

I'd like to see him trim up a little but I love his character.

They have Shane this year working with A.J. Styles. Styles the company's best worker and probably the US's most talent wrestler just to inflate the ego of the McMahons.

I read HBK turned down a match against him which would've been cool.
