Axl vocals on this one are so close to the studio version it's insane...

Axl ruined it

Sad but true. I had to watch this to get rid of the bad taste:

Axl in his raspy prime with Izzy kicking ass like he always does.

Man, the chemistry between Axl and Izzy always amazes me.

Matt Sorum, in this video, on the other hand, embarasses me.

Ahh the real reason Izzy didn't go to HOF....Slash and Duff don't pay him to hang out with them wink

If you'd go by that logic, at the same O2 Arena Duff joined Axl.

Duff should've not go to the HOF too 16

I came to work thinking about what would make a great live album from the Chinese Democracy Tours.

Thought about creating a set list, informing where the song was played and try to compile the best live versions, rare songs, etc that would represent what Guns N' Roses was live in the 2000's and reflecting setlists and stuff.

Would you guys help me out?

The format: It'll be great to have an youtube link, but can be just an audio reference.

The tracklist: Thinking of a double album, such as the Era 87-93, so with the same ammount of songs (and three bonus tracks for the Japanese market 16 and iTunes)

CD1:
1 - Chinese Democracy
2 - It's So Easy
3 - Mr. Browsntone
4 - Sorry
5 - Live and Let Die
6 - You're Crazy ( live in Chicago (House of Blues) 2012 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wxPs3ewTljQ)
7 -
8 - Estranged (Live at Rock In Rio 2011, first time it was played in 18 years, blah blah http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q2EYyTKNiUQ)
9 -
10 -
11 - November Rain

CD 2:
12 - Better
13 -
14 - Street Of Dreams (Albany 2002 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhydCVVq4Ig)
15 -
16 -
17 -
18 -
19 - Madagascar
20 -
21 - There Was A Time ( NY 2006 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gKOF4EkV1s)
22 - Paradise City

Bonus Tracks:
23- Catcher In The Rye (Live at L'arc Paris http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFjRQp2sxdU)
24-
25-

As we're inputing songs and versions, discussing what would define GN'R live better in this era, I'll be updating this first post!

Do these come from their twitter or facebook or their official site? If so that's exactly what they are doing; posting them to fuck with fans cause they don't play anything remotely close to these "setlists"  so.....

No, a fan took it from the soundboard crew at the Manchester show. Nothing related to the band.

The only time the band released photos of the setlist was in the old site, on a post by Del James, back in 06, that had Perfect Crime, Down on The Farm and If The World on it.

I happen to work for a live streaming company on some projects...

In order for the stream to happen, a "guarantee fee" is needed, in order to cover expenses with internet connection, IT team deployed to the place where the stream will happen, etc. Let's say the "guarantee fee" is $2500.
Once they sell enough to cover that, the streaming is on. After this value is met, everything until $5000 goes to the host of the event. After each part is even, income is split 50/50.

My thoughts on this: either they didn't cover the minimum fee or didn't sell enough to be reasonable for GN'R. Let's say, using the example above, that they sold $2990 and perhaps to GN'R the $490 isn't enough, given the performance may be not THAT well, will end up on Youtube anyway, blah blah blah.

To make the concert available to download is a different beast altogether. GN'R has a film crew on EVERY concert and they'll record it anyway. The only expense they'll have is to have some post-prod and host it to minimum to none expenses.
