From your lips to Axl's ears.

I'm not sure if you know, but Joey's back in the band and he's on this album. He was also on their last album, Worship Music, which I loved and I highly recommend checking out if you haven't heard it yet.

Idk if this stuff has been discussed in other threads, but some interesting stuff is happening with Van Halen lately. Rumors are flying around about a Van Hagar reunion, because
1. Sammy and Eddie exchanged a couple tweets lately, and
2. Dave attempted a live reunion with his original solo band.
(If I'm missing something, someone please let me know)
Some other interesting things:
- Chickenfoot maybe be releasing a new single some time soon, they've announced the intention to record at least.
- John 5 mentioned there is a new DLR solo album that's been in the can for a while, and just waiting for Dave to pull the trigger.
I'm kind of hoping for a Van Hagar reunion here. I absolutely love ADKOT - but there doesn't seem to be much movement on a new album, and I'd love to hear that DLR album with John 5 and/or DLR's reunion with Steve Vai. I also really like Chickenfoot, but that band doesn't seem to be going anywhere either, and I don't care for Sammy's other solo work - so a Van Hagar reunion is the next best thing to a new Chickenfoot album.

That's really cool for Metallica to do this. I hope they release some other consolidated editions without the hefty price tag, but I'll probably pick these up at some stage.
Really hoping we get that new album from them this year too. It's been 8 years since Death Magnetic, and I still rate that fairly highly in their discography
I'm sure they are going to release this in a CD/DVD format at a lower price. The only question in my mind, is will it offer all the demos and live performances that this box set offers.
I just pre-ordered the box sets. I was on the fence becuse of that price tag, but it's a good value.
I'm a big fan of Death Magnetic as well. I know a lot of fans that have given up on Metallica after St Anger, and I always recommend they listen to DM. And DM definitely makes me excited to hear a new albums.
During the Night Before show James mentioned that they were finishing up recording on the new album, but he said no promises on when it would be released. It's funny, I was thinking to myself that he was pulling an Axl. Lol.

These box sets look awesome, but man their expensive, idk of I'll get them or hold out to see what the cheaper options will be. If they release all the demo/live shows/DVDs in a deluxe package w/o all that vinyl - I might go for that instead. Maybe. I like vinyl though, so I'm on the fence here.

Will says its Izzy, that's good enough for me. Will has been around for a while, and he's never been a bullshiter.
@Will, so jealous that you got to chat with Izzy, badass dude.

I've always hated the snare drum sound on St. Anger, so I was pleased to find this on youtube:
Per the description, it's a rerecording by another band.
I was also pleased to find this:
Now if the remastered Kill 'Em All sounds good.. I'll be all set with my Metallica wishlist, lol.
