An interesting article here on the financials of TLJ. Seems to be some credible guesstimates.
AN AMOUNT EQUIVALENT TO 80% PROFIT OF THE FORCE AWAKENS – FROM ALL VENUES AND PLATFORMS WORLDWIDE – IS MISSING FROM THE LAST JEDI’S BALANCE SHEET.

Such a perfect opportunity to end her character ... wasted on a completely unbelievable twist ... unbelievable even in a star wars universe
Yep that's when I thought they would have ended her, which would have been perfect. Instead.......

Yeah that's true, I just feel it was better when there appeared to be some limitations to the force. At the moment the only limitations to it appear to be imagination.
Maybe it's the fact that apparently "amateurs" in regards to experience with the force are able to do such fantastic things with little to no training.
Whilst Leia has obviously been around force users for years and it's in her blood, yet her first use of it is for some superman flying in space. Then Rey effectively defeating Kylo in TFA and other things. It's probably passable that Luke got to the level to be able to have a a teleport battle using the force, but I preferred it when it was at least a little difficult to use. Im sure if Anakin was able to use the current version of the force then he would have been able to save Padme's life, the Emperor wouldn't have had to feed him BS about that the Dark Side giving him those powers.

As a stand alone movie it was superficially entertaining, but as a Star Wars movie I thought it was very poorly written and a disappointment.
The fact that there was never a broad outline for the story of all 3 of these movies shows badly. The lack of continuity and meaningful character development just one example of this.
There are so many annoying points about this film (largely already mentioned so I won't rehash them). But I think Kathleen Kennedy is ruining the whole thing with her feminist and other associated agendas. That's being put ahead of meaningful writing. I think it's great having strong female characters (I want to see strong female role models for my daughter), but who is the strong male role? Poe was reduced to a bumbling pig headed buffoon and Finn, well he kinda was barely in the movie except for the pointless casino side story.
Also the whole Mary Sue thing wth Rey is quite irritating. How she can do what she does without any training in TFA and this essentially carried through into TLJ. It also means there is no real character development left for her.
Don't even get me started on The Force and what can be done with it now. I thought it was questionable when Kylo was able to stop a blaster shot in mid air in TFA. Well shit that looks entirely realistic compared to what is done with it now with little to no training.

I still feel the same way...
There is no Atlas Shrugged or The General Leak.
It's a hoax designed to troll and/or flush out people with Silkworms and This I Love.
It seems to be working, I'll give them that lol
^^ This!!!

10 years is a great effort! It’s been a fun ride, even if it feels somewhat like we are at the destination now. This site and community has given me hours and hours of reading/ discussion pleasure over the journey with a healthy dose of drama thrown in as well.

No I have never been into Cosplay before, this was a first attempt. Not even sure how often I will wear it, but I did buy a Mannequin to sit it on at home so at least I can have it on display (much to my wifes disgust). I might try and build a Han in Carbonite to go with it.
It's actually been a bloody detailed costume to put together, the nuances are unbelievable. But fortunately there are a couple of websites/forums like The Dented Helmet and The Bounty Hunters Guild that are a wealth of information. Plenty of vendors on there selling quality parts as well as commission painters for the armour and helmet etc.
To give you an idea this was the shopping list below. I decided to go with the ESB version of Fett (prior to this I didn't even know there was a difference between ESB & ROTJ costumes lol, plus there are actually a whole heap of other variations). I liked the colours better on ESB and besides he ends up in the Sarlaac Pit in ROTJ.

Thanks guys, I have put in an application for the 501st Legion to get the Costume Approved for trooping with the local garrison here if I feel that way inclined.
Here is a cool pic of the Range Finder in action, it's controlled by an Alco Switch on one of the gauntlets:

Been a while since I posted but I know there are a few Star Wars fans on the forum that might be interested in these pics. I sold off a little bit of my GN'R collection over the last 1-2 years using some of the funds to put together a Halloween costume to wear Trick or Treating with my kids (they love Star Wars). Here's a couple of recent pics:
