that sounds great. do you know of some other GNR forum where are normal people and not this person? I'd like to move there.

GN'R forum with normal people? Why don't you just ask for a unicorn and a leprechaun's pot of gold while you're at it?

meet the new setlist, same as the old setlist.

I'm skipping Download this year – I can't be bothered trekking up to a field in the middle of fucking nowhere to see Axl trot out the same setlist to an audience of casual festival goers.

That said, I bet he plays fucking TWAT this time.

If he plays while fucking twat, that'd certainly be a show to see.

FYI, that setlist "leak" was confirmed to be an old one from the Forum show. So, it's still somewhat of a mystery which new cover they'll bust out this leg.

Y'know, I know everybody mentions Axl always seeming to be out of breath being due to him not being in shape, but has anyone considered that his lungs are simply damaged from smoking?

I know he supposedly quit cigarettes years ago (although I remember some rumors about him picking it up again in 2010), but he's also supposedly an extremely heavy weed smoker still, and while not as damaging as tobacco, any type of smoke surely isn't going to help your lungs.

I mean, he's been running around stages for 2.5+ hours every couple nights for nearly two years, his cardio obviously isn't that bad.

One minute shy of 4 fucking hours. Best live performance of Prostitute ever, imo. Axl went balls to the wall, and everything after KOHD had tons of rasp.

FINALLY we get a goddamn good soundboard.

Call it naivety or pointless optimism, but I still think there's a good chance we see another GN'R album. I know everyone wants to say "it's just a cash grab", but y'know, I don't think you play marathon 3.5 hour shows every time if all you care about is the money. If that was the case, they'd show up, play 1.5 hours, and leave. And Slash certainly wouldn't be playing half of Chinese every show. A few years ago, everybody thought Axl might retire after Vegas. Then this happens. Then AC/DC happens. And he looks revitalized for the first time since 2010.

Now, do I expect it soon? No. But I do think it's a possibility. Even if it's just CDII with Slash & Duff.

I’d also argue that both AC/DC and Foo Fighters do rock, and both bands always bring their A game in live performances.

I know this is a Guns fan message board, but the way some of you talk about other bands not holding a candle to Guns, I’m like, are you serious...?

AC/DC definitely rock. Half their song titles say so. lol

I'd hate GN'R doing the Super Bowl. I don't need to see Slash pretending to play, while Axl lip syncs - which is exactly what happened with RHCP, which Axl also mocked on Twitter.

tbh, I have almost no idea about 2011-14 era, I almost stopped following them by that time. I guess there might be some hidden gems from that era, damn... RIR 2011 was a disaster, Bridge School was even worse, and in 2012 I already stepped out of the ship, maybe except for when Izzy and Robin joined the band onstage. after the 2010 disaster in Prague, they seemed to totally skip the country in 2012 tour, they only played in the neighbouring countries (it seems they picked Slovakia instead of Czech Republic! but I wasn't interested in seeing them by that time).
from 2013-14 I only remember the Golden Gods Awards performance, which I considered strange, the band seemed worn out. maybe I only noticed the band, because they met Duff in London, and then he alternated with Tommy somehow. weird times. I only completed my collection from those years retrospectively.
anyway, thanks for the link smile

Duff filled in for Tommy because Tommy left to do the Replacements reunion tour. Interestingly, despite being pretty shit all year, that 2014 Vegas residency was probably the best Axl sounded since 2010, aside from maybe Philly 2012.

The best versions of madagascar are the RIR 3 and 2002 live versions.  I still dont love any of the studio versions, Axls shitty vocal track ruins the song.

It's more than just the vocals for me. The music as a whole really just doesn't do it for me. Kinda the same with Breakdown. It feels sorta... bland.
