Well aye theres that synth at the start of TWAT, suddenly the demo was awsome with that shit Digi trip beat without "the live choir... "

The beat sucked, is was that that infamous thing we all took the piss out off, the choir was real tho.. real people, real vocals, real shit.

Same with Madagascar, that damn song was the centre piece of New GNR, it was beautiful.

But the early live versions where done by electronic organ, the actual album version was done by french horn live and it got buried amongst the strings and samples, so it turned out puny compared to early live versions....

I'm going to bed, I'm lost... dunno where or what we're at tonight....its half one, time for a munchy, then time for bed smile

Just checked mygnr and they hate it, nothing new, we hate it cause they told us nothing new...

Duuuhh... they're telling an ancient story AGAIN...

I know the story of GNR like the back of my willy... its boring.

But this was good, i liked it, I really dont know what exactly they could've been expecting... 45 unreleased songs and a UYI/CD Documentary no doubt...

But naw... the GNR story hsnt changed, this was a more balanced version that never shit on anyone. It was predominately focused in the pre afd/post afd era... but I really liked seeing these young cats raising hell.

These faggot ass fuck wits on mygnr just want to see fuckers being made scape goats or else concrete dates for new music, anything other than that is a waste of their faggot ass time they spend on GNR forums demanding updates from a stagnant 80's band...

Now now now, gimmie gimmie gimmie, Axl Slash N Duff, when where what who gimmie gimme gimmie....

They dont know how good they've got it!

Fuck this century...

My big brother had a 60min tape that had paradise city on it over and over over. He didnt even have a copy of the actual single, he copied off the tv, he some how hooked up the tv or video recorder into his 2 cassette tape recorder/ghetto blaster and he played that damn tune relentlessly through 88/89/90, to the extent that I hated it, my parents hated it and my neighbors hated it.

Doesnt matter how much I hated it, this was the sound of Guns N''Roses, nobody gave a fuck about a synth sound buried somewhere in there, it was a fuckin rocking smash hit for the guitars and chorus. Its only been nerds in the 21st century I've every came across whining about it... and I still cant hear what they are bleating about!!

#85 Re: Guns N' Roses » What GN'R members thought about CD » 490 weeks ago

Aye but he can like just hearing Axl maybe? I fuckin love electronic music, I grew up with it as much as I did GNR, it doesnt sound odd to me that its on CD, I dont even notice it. Axl drives that album.
I dont notice any synths on Paradise City, I thought it was all guitars, I grew up with AFD, its only when I joined the forums that I heard how synths on PC shouldnt be there...

Paradise City was the soundtrack of an incredible summer I had in the 80's, girls, swimming in the river, summer nights hanging out with the river and girls... for a tiny, minute moment of such an evocative track for folk to shit on it years later... I just cant relate, or hear! I cant hear what upsets you! The intro to PC is just magical... summer nights and youthful adventure... it always takes me right back.

you can tell its originally a Slash documentary at the begi9nning, but it does evolves into a GNR documentary, it got there. The best thing was it never focused on any member really, it was good. Might have been a bit superficial for us, but we are loonys who demand every bit of info, but it was a great show, I loved it!

* I was in wrong thread sorry...

Amazing, I loved it, fucking loved it!!
No trashing, pretty equal but maybe shallow cause it never delved into each one's demons too much, but I think after all the slighted shite shite thatss been out for so long, this has been a really great, long over due hell bye gone tale of Guns N'Fuckin Roses...
It was awesome troops, majorly made up with early footage... thats the way it should be. I loved it, really did. They never shat on CD or VR, it was a mere footnote at the end, as should be. It ended with Sash's words that things had cooled with him and Slash.

Aye its the best GN'R documentary ever, its dominated with the pre AFD era then the AFD era, the UYI era is the last hurdle and its troubled, but nobodys the scapegoat. 10 mins left to deal with the post breakup shit, aye its good so far. I'm boozing watching and broke into tears a few times, the silly tabloid shit seems left to the last 10 minutes.

I remember Channel 4 (uk) did the Top 10 stadium Rock Bands with Alice Cooper, GN'R were number 3 or something. This was the first new stuff about GNR in years, it was pretty awesome and just wet the appetite for chinese democracy, think it was aired in 99...
