There was a display at the Best Buy I went to in NJ. Vinyl on top, cd's along each of the four sides. I was there at 9, and there were two other people who bought the cd. The one guy I was talking to grabbed a vinyl and easily 5 copies of the cd. He wanted to give them to his friends, or so he told me. I'll admit, I got caught up in the excitement (what little there was). I had no plans of buying the vinyl, but after 15 years I couldn't help it. I have the vinyl and the cd. And the circular. I never even walked down the aisle to see if there were more cds at the GNR section. While I was a little disappointed that there wasn't more people there, it was 9 am on a Sunday, and the normal store hours there are usually 11 am. So I can always say people didn't know the store was open yet. LOL. Yeah there wasn't a bunch of fanfare, but eh. I'm just happy to have the darned thing.

It kind of makes me sad. The day so many of us have been waiting for and dreaming of is finally here, and the person behind all the hard work is nowhere to be found. In a way it kind of fits the way things have been going, nothing goes according to plan in the GNR world. I would love for Axl to come out and say something, anything. Even if its a "fuck you." I'm really hoping the album wasn't just shoved out against his will. But, how the hell do you shove out an album that's taken this many years to finish? *sigh* I'm excited that this day is finally here. But a part of me really feels for Axl. Wherever he is, and whatever he's doing. I just hope he knows how much this is appreciated.

Holy hell. Freaking awesome. I'm torn between listening to it on the radio and waiting to buy it and listen to it at home. But either way the fact that they'll be playing the entire album, plus a different song every hour?? Good lord. It's a great time to be a GNR fan, that's for sure.

I head it on the stream from KROCK. I still can't believe I'm hearing these songs on the radio. I'm so happy they went with Better as the second single. I've always loved the song, and it sounds absolutely fantastic.
