#971 Re: The Sunset Strip » Top 10 worst movie sequels » 911 weeks ago

Halloween III was a shoe in but I am impressed the author considered the horrendous Lawnmower Man 2.  That movied suckethed in every way a movie could sucketh!  16  The first one, (although not true to the King short story...in a rare case this was a good thing!) was actually a decent movie...the sequel wasn't.

I actually don't think one does because I have every other mix I can find by Bloody Roses and don't see a Silk Worms.

At any rate sorry it took awhile guys, I had some payroll issues I had to tend to before getting back.

Silk Worms

Thanks for helping with this. I know I had the Bloody Roses remixes at one time, but who knows where they've gone over time.

Russ, I have to apologize to you.  When I said I would have it upped in a few minutes I was meaning I was upping the best sounding Silkworms for Neemo.  I have a rare silver-pressed soundboard cd that was professionally produced entitled "Welcome 2001" that is the best sounding Silkworms (which is from RIR III by the way) I've heard by far, so this was the one I was uploading.  Sorry for misleading you.

I have the Bloody Roses remasters (Maddy/The Blues/CD) but I'm not sure if I have a silkworms remaster by him.  I'll be gone in about an hour or two until tomorrow evening, but over the weekend I'll look through my stash and see if I can locate that one for you and if I do I'll be glad to upload it as well.  5

Yeah, I can't wait.  This is the main reason I wanted the PS3.  Can you imagine what potential exists for a game like Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, strategic war games (etc)?  I think Heavenly Sword may be one of the games using that much capacity.  Have you seen the shots for the upcoming Gran Tourismo installment?  It takes realism to a level never obtained previously.  This game could seal the deal for literally thousands of people who have held off buying a PS3 until this point.

A friend of mine and I were tossing back a couple of (ok, maybe 10 or so:P) suds the other night and inevitably the conversation eventually treaded down the "remember that time we... (blah, blah, blah)" shit.  Something funny came up that I had forgot about during the ol' trip down memory lane and I thought it would be cool to hear some of your stories about dumb shit you guys have did in the past.

One dumb thing that came up we talked about...A friend and I were stoned out of our heads one night and naturally got the munchies.  We went to Hardee's and started ordering.  So basically it went something like I would ask for a burger, fries, ham & cheese, frisco sandwich and then my friend would order the same thing.  The lady working called back our orders and we were like "yeah, that sounds good...give me that too!!"  We weren't trying to be dicks or anything we were just severely puffed and had no clue what we were doing.  Apparently we were so fucked up that the girl either just got totally fed up with us (rightfully so) or she thought a bunch of people were in the car and wanting more orders like the ones we asked for originally.  In the end we had like a 50 dollar bill at freaking Hardees and a shit-load of food.  I remember taking some of the shit home and throwing it in the fridge where it eventually got tossed into it's rightful resting place, the trash.

This sounds like the official word Neemo, thanks again for the update.  I knew Drover was having some issues but had no clue whatsoever it was this bad.  The new dude looks damn good himself though...Megadeth is one of those bands that can handle a few lineup changes and still kick ass.  They have proven that again and again although I must agree with Scabbie that the RIP lineup was the lineup to beat.

You compared a prototype with an actual disc that is currently sold. In my opinion, you cannot compare the two unless you compare prototype with prototype or official spec with official spec.

That's fair in my opinion.  TDK's prototype is supposed to be a reality within a couple of months but yes, as of now it is a prototype per se so I can see your argument.  Just a note on the "data" issue however, and I mean this as informative and not argumentive but the development of this format has been geared toward the idea of storing 18 hrs or more of high-definition video on a single disc...not the data storage capability albeit that will be something awe-inspiring within itself.  Can you imagine the gaming possibilities?  In fact the makers of GTA were worried about the limitations of the XBOX 360 in comparison to that of the PS3 for the series next installment (and this is NOT a lash at 360 owners as I think the 360 has more than made a case for its legitmacy and then some) and the main reason was the storage capacity of the current Blu Ray vs HD-DVD.  Ironically it ended up being the PS3's complicated programming issues that held up this eagerly anticipated game in the end.
