If this is an example of your contribution, then I say good riddence to you. We're better off without you. Most of us have coexisted long before you came along and long before this site even existed. yes, we argue with each other from time to time, but it's very rare for long time members to go after each other. There's a reason for that.
I don't get your point, really. And I wasn't talking about you, you just had to make a point about it, so ok... But what was it?
So what GnR was didin't include Axl? ok... I've posted a lot about what GnR todays mean to me and my thoughts about Axl and you'd be surprised if you'd take the time to read, that I don't blindly support Axl.
And seriously, you're nobody to tell me to leave. I'm not a member of this board because of you and I won't leave because of you.
Unless you have the power to ban me, you're nobody to make this call. And if you have such powers, be my guest. I'm sure you'll feel really good doing it.
Dude, Axl CHOSE not to go. And I didn't tell you to leave, you said you were leaving.
I edited my original post with more clearance of what I think. If you can read, perhaps you can understand where I'm coming from.

I think Gilby/Izzy and Duff could share duties singing pretty well but if YOU SAY that it doesn't have anything to do with promoting Slash with Myles Kennedy, then ok. You should know better, right?
You're the one promoting it.
There's no way in hell Duff, Izzy, or Gilby can sing any of the higher GnR tunes better than Myles, and I don't even like Myles.
Steven adler would sound alright on lead vocals singing Sweet child
That would rock harder than Sheryl Crow doing it!

Really, Guns N' Roses today and so on to the future is what Axl wants it to be. Accept it or leave it. I mean, it's been this way for the past 18 years? If you don't accept it don't direct your anger to those who do (or embrace or enjoy or not).

My point is that everybody who understands or agrees with Axl is being attacked. It's like HTGTH times -1. I think Myles should be nowhere near Gn'R induction because he doesn't have ANYTHING to do with GnR.
It would be a whole different scenario if they invited a really special guest on this, being it Fergie or Billie Joe or WHOEVER that doesn't relate to any current project of any member of Gn'R. THAT'S MY SECOND POINT.
Another thing is: why is Slash allowed to bring his current members to GnR induction and why isn't Axl allowed to do the same? Double standards of the hoF? perhaps, we'll never know but it doesn't seem right to me.
I have no problem with the guys performing, I just wish it was REALLY a celebration of the past, but once you involve current members, it gets different.

Lets just drop these comments immediately. Axl could have been there. Maybe he should have been there. He decided not to. I promise Duff, Matt, and Gilby aren't signing up for something to promote Slash. THEY wanted to play together and THIS is the best optiion THEY came up with. End of story. Stop trying to make it something it isn't.

Finally got to this page and read all opinions. Some great stuff and some nutty shit also. Thanks to you all for your efforts.
Sad day for the old lineup. Sad for their fans. Sadly predictable Axl piss and vinegar.
Just sad.
This.

Posts like this one from you are exactly what keeps me from posting more. You cannot imagine someone having a different opinion from you so you instantly have to attempt insults instead of trying to understand where someone else is coming from.
I'm sorry, but your opinion, if it's really an opinion and not an attempt, is an insult itself against the Guns N' Roses legacy. You are so touchy when it comes to Robin or the Replacements of replacements, but now you are so vocal that you aren't interested in the one-off 15-minute show from a line-up that's the closest we can get to Guns N' Roses since 1993. You use the term 'fans', just like Jarmo to insult people who dare to criticize Axl's nostalgia band, and now you are as uninterested as he is in this partly reunion. Well, now I ask you to give back your Guns N' Roses fan card and replace it with an 'Axl Rose' and 'Robin Finck' pass. Anyone who shits on this partly reunion can do the same.
Apparently you've only read or chosen to read some of my posts leading up til now.
I loved what all of those people brought to Guns N' Roses when they were in Guns N' Roses. They're not now and that's fine with me too because they've been replaced by people who (IMO) are as good as better than them at what they do.
Two drummers I don't like as much as Frank. Why would that excite me? Gilby being there along with Izzy. Why would that excite me? Possibly the worst person to ever sing GN'R tunes singing them with former member at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. Why would that excite me.
As I said, I understand you guys are excited about it, but I'm not. And once more; there's no need to throw out attempts at insults to make your point.
That's exactly why i'm leaving the board untill those that are butthurt by Axl not showing to the HoF ceremony stop their revenge against the ones who doesn't see it as badly.

I share Russ lack of interest in this. How many times have we seen those guys play together over the years? It's so common it's not exciting, that's all.
Spoiler alert: this is the same thing that's going to happen tonight!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0M61iwoM … re=relatedNo steven is drumming that song if they play it
they'll do both drummers on stage... there are pictures of the rehearsals around already. But believe me, it's Matt's drumming you're going to hear.

The way he interacts with the crowd - TO ME - looks so artificial and this need to turn every song into a crowd collaboration effort just sickens me.
These "clap your hands", "sing with me, now!", "hey! hey! hey!" is too Madonna for my own personal taste.

It's not against you, Russ, but you are getting overexcited every time Axl N' Whoever Else are playing. Rumours say that even Izzy could be there, so.. it'll be technically Guns N' Roses without Axl Rose. So no need to rain our parade, just because The Holy One is playing GTA at home.
"Rain on your parade"? Hardly. Saying a bunch of people who used to be in Guns N' Roses playing together with an awful singer doesn't excite me isn't an attempt at raining on your parade, it's being honest.
