I don't think Finck was meant to replace anyone. He was brought in to give the band a new sound, seeing the band went in a totally different direction. And Bucket wasn't brought in to replace anyone. They were 2 leads, Richard (and Huge) were rythym.

DJ is in a weird place. He is replacing a member, he's getting into the new line up, who have an established sound and chemistry and he has to mix into it. I think Tim would be a great balance between both new and old songs. I think he's a much better fit in GNR than DJ.

that being said. Is there a more copycat unoriginal musician in the history of the universe?

He is a caricature of Slash,Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee rolled into one guy.

Tommy has Mayhem on his stomach, Dj has Havoc..same writing style coloring... tattoos,look rip Nikki, the hat,way he stands etc Slash

Maybe that's why you like him so much. He's similar to guys from the past. He won't remind anyone of Buckethead or Robin Finck, that's for sure.

It's not a coincidence that they have those tattoos. The singer from Buckcherry has "Chaos" written on his stomach in the same style. Just a thing between friends I guess.
