Re: 2011-2012 NFL Season Thread
That might've been the biggest Bills win of my life. This is the most likable and resilient Bills team I've ever watched, and I sat through all of those 15 consecutive losses to the Pats. I was 12 the last time they beat the Pats. I don't think I'd listened to Use Your Illusion yet! The feeling of finally getting over that hump... hard to describe. My chest really did (and still does) feel lighter. It was a great game and a great moment for a team I underestimated coming into the season. Fitz is due a big raise, I hope to see him locked up long term by the bye week. Chan Gailey's been doing an awesome job coaching this team and the offense specifically (he calls the plays), he hasn't yet gotten much credit for their play but his schemes have hid many weaknesses on the O-line. Fitz also knows how to adjust blocking presnap and reads blitzes much better than Edwards or Losman ever did.
This is the weirdest NFL season we've ever seen. I don't think defense is forever a thing of the past like some are saying, but certainly this is the most prolific passing season ever for the league. I'm enjoying it, and trust some D-coordinator will figure out how to shut down these 300-400 yard passers eventually.
Re: 2011-2012 NFL Season Thread
The Bills are the best team in the AFC, as of right now. They certainly are resilient, two weeks in a row it looked like they were dead and buried and they came all the way back to come out on top. Their offense is legit. Great RB, WR, a couple other good WR's, a good TE, QB. They've got some good pieces there. Not sure about their defense, but they certainly forced Brady into 4 turnovers, which is very rare. So that's saying something.
As for the Patriots, I thought things might be different this year for the defense with all the guys they brought in on the defensive line. But they looked eerily as bad as they did last season. Maybe even worse, as Devin McCourty has gone for a Pro Bowl CB to a guy who's getting beat repeatedly out there. And as for Brady throwing four picks. That is bound to happen when you throw 90% of the time. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the eye popping stats Brady is putting up, especially for the 2 fantasy teams I have him on. But for the REAL team, I wish they would be more balanced.
Frustrating loss, but congrats to your Bills CC.

Give the Bears time.
It was the same thing last year. Actually, I think they were in worse shape last year. One of the talking heads on the sports show made a great point that at some point, like last year, Lovie Smith will alter that playbook and the Bears will get back on track.
I don't know who The Pats are playing next week, but I already feel bad for them. Brady will be a beast. And Faldor, 3 of those INT's were total freak accidents. If they didn't happen, the Bills don't win. It's not like you're rooting for the Dolphins.

I am pulling for Detroit... I like Stafford, Calvin Johnson and I hope Fairly starts kicking ass soon!
My Dolphins suck so bad. Ever since Marino left they really have sucked balls.
Steelers are always one of my favorites and of course this year, with the addition of Cam, I am all in.
