Re: what is the most you have paid for a cell phone?
Yeah hipsters are the worst. Because all they're trying to do is "make a statement" by being counter-cultural, without truely believing in the cause.
I don't mind if people have phones, as long as they're not CONSTANTLY in them, over like dinner or something. If you were a celeb or some businessman, i'd get it, but some fuckin' Joe Schmo with no life, pretending his Facebook updates are important... fuck the hell off, you loser.
All I ask for really is a mutual respect that because I don't really give a shit about phones, that people don't look at me like "dude you are such a loser, because you don't have the new iPhone".
Yeah, whatever man. I spend my money on what I want to spend my money on.

I get that, and when I lived in the city it worked like a dream. I don't really know whether you're in the city or not.
But as soon as you get out of the city, you hit those roaming spots, all that bs.
I literally have to walk around my property to get a signal, and Verizon is the only carrier that even has a signal where i'm at. It gets frustrating when people call, you can't sit in your own house on a cell phone and talk.

I dropped mine in late 2008 because the only calls I was getting were from politicians. My parents (who have had the same phone number for 35 years) are considering doing the same right now for that same reason... and the election is still6 months away. I bet by the end of summer it gets ridiculous.
Re: what is the most you have paid for a cell phone?
It seems today that individuals cannot go anyplace without a cell phone in their pocket. In reality, when we lose or break our phone, we may feel naked for a time. If we use our cell phone for business, we need to make sure you get a cell phone right away, no matter what the cost. In fact, when my cell phone has been broken, I decided to get a cash advance to help me afford the new phone right away.

Re: what is the most you have paid for a cell phone?
I think I piad like $45 for my phone. I bought it in 2004 and it's the first and only cell phone I've ever had. For me there's no need for all this high tech shit. My phone makes calls and sends texts and it even takes pictures. Plus it's a fraction of the size all these smart phones are and it's indestructable. I'm perfectly happy with my phone and unlike 95% of the peple I know I don't live my life with my head burried in it. The very fact people don't understand how I can live without a smart phone says all ya need to know about the adverse effects technology can have on people. I'm not denying these smart phones offer some huge conveniences but the fact far too many people would be lost as fuck without them is patehtic in my opinion.
