One could see why Slash is into so many different projects, he probably saw this coming. Too bad but VR weren't around long enough for me to be very upset about it plus I was really, really disappointed in Libertad, maybe it's good they move on. To me Scott always belonged in a band more like STP anyway so it's great he is going back to what he does best. Too bad they are fighting but ego and drugs well that's a combination that will do it every time.

id say solo disk #2 or VR#3 cuz he says last VR tour
and slash and duff both seem to want to get that last disk out so it makes kinda sense it'll be like audio slave release the album and finish the band

I can't believe Weiland got so bent out of shape and posted such a rant over what Matt posted.
i think its a general response to the situation, only triggered by matt's comments, not a direct reply to those comments only, but rather a response which has been boiling under the skin for some time now...
Matt is a cock...i used to think he was cool when he joined gnr, but he's been anything but respectful towards Scott, and after reading about his attitude towards Axl during his stint in GNR, I have nothing but remorse towards him...
I said it before, I feel for Scott....never really enjoyed his singing, or him as a singer in VR, but in this post gnr era, he has faced an uphill battle with his bandmates (Dave excluded)....
The biggest losers in this fiasco are Duff and Dave....I feel really bad for them, Duff relocating his family to LA to try and have another go at rock stardom, this must be really demotivating for him and them...
I wonder who Slash is going to blame this time round for the breakup....

Did Scott just say he's quitting the band because Matt sings back-up vocals?
Regardless, this guy is such a tool. He's always been pissed that no one outside of Americans knew who he was and that GN'R was and is way bigger than STP could ever be.

Matt is a cock, but Scott is an even bigger cock. He's as uncool as a frontman can be. The guy is just annoying. I never liked him in VR, but I supported Slash & Co's decision. His betrayal is one of the worsts in the history of rock. The other guys did everything to save him and what he's got in return? I have no problems with him rejoining STP, but his disrespect towards Slash & Co is unbelievable. Rid of this junkie and let him die alone. 
Can't wait to hear Slash's solo album though

true, he's not the best he could be, but i do sympathize with him a little....since VR started he's faced nothing but GNR related inquiries, comparisons and questions....
he was the frontman, and had no choice or say of who to even hire to be in his band....he was a hired gun in a way, and was treated like one...
and Matt is just a drummer for fuck sake....those STP reunion comments were nothing but disrespectful towards his lead singer...least he could do is stick up for him and pretend like VR was not a manufactured band....instead he made it blatantly obvious that they don't have any rock n roll chemistry...
Cock or not, Scott did not deserve that treatment....anyone else would have buckled under the media pressure and spotlight...
He did the right thing by doing this and pulling out of VR...for his sake, and the band's sake...
Now lets hope that he has no rights to the VR brand name and that Slash and Duff can regroup and work out a positive new direction for the band....hopefully with someone of equal stature to lead the band...
and that they fire Sorum....
what a mess....I would love to know what Axl Rose thinks of this whole thing....

i dont think axl can say much, VR went out released an album went multiplatinum, won a grammy, released a followup and toured the world twice mainly on material that was written post gnr
VR is hardly unsucessful
as for VR continuing without scott...i doubt it, Scott was credited with final name of the band and wrote everything lyric wise..and they disagree with AXl carrying on GnR without them so i doubt they would do it to someone else...if they even stay together
Duff has Loaded, who are at least writing new material, and Slash wants to do a solo disk
where does that leave Matt & Dave? dunno but we'll have to wait and see...VR isnt even officallu over yet so until an official disbanding is announced anything could happen
