Re: Axl Rose vs. Kanye West
If CD beats 808, and considering the fact that CD is a Best Buy exclusive... it'll be a crusing defeat for West. Maybe even a momentum changer.
So what's West (the voice of this generation - in his mind) going to say when some old man by the name of Axl Rose whoops his ass?
Welcome To The Jungle Kanye... you're gonna dieeeeeeeeeeeee.
Re: Axl Rose vs. Kanye West
Yes but Itunes aint got shit to do with the billboard charts. MIA's single did great on Itunes but her album sold shit.
Its on the verge of going gold. I wouldn't call gold in this day and age "shit".
Itunes is a good indicator mainly for how easy it is to just cherry pick tracks/artists you want to listen to. Also, this young generation loves Itunes. Itunes is to them what record stores used to be for us.
I'm definitely no Itunes expert. I rarely use the service. I use it when I want to offer support for artists/bands on their singles chart(GNR, M.I.A., and Rye Rye), buy an Itunes exclusive(MIA at World Cafe), or buy an album that I don't feel like ordering from a foreign country(Pravini).
Re: Axl Rose vs. Kanye West
I wouldn't bet on Itunes to be a prediction for album sales.
True. David Usher's new album went #1 on itunes outselling Metallica, Kings of Leon and Pussycat Dolls upon relese but how's that going now for him? It's tough to judge off itunes but it when it comes to big band maybe it's a small gage.

I wouldn't call it a music event of the year if it's not even gold :haha: . Just fucking with you.
I don't think it is a good indicator. At least not for Chinese Democracy. There are still a lot of people who buy actual albums instead of downloading it. I think more Gunners do that than the Kanye homeboys. Plus GNR are banking more on the some what older crowd than the new generation of downloading lazy teenagers. M.I.A is a perfect example. She did great on Itunes but her actual record sales were not what her Internet buzz showed is what I am gathering up about her.

The pickup truck drivin' pabst drinkin' mullet sportin' marlboro smokin' 40 year old demographic don't do the iTunes. But they may still buy the CD.
They also don't like Use Your Illusion, which is what CD is closest to in terms of the old GN'R sound. They love Appetite and that's it.
