VR is not a side project.

If GN'R reunite, VR is over. The guys will go back to GN'R, and continue their solo careers on the side, Axl included.

VR is over period no matter what.  And of course the guys will still do their solo things on the side.  That way everybody wins.

The irony of this all....

The album is actually pretty fuckin' awesome.

Nobody cares without the top-hatted one. Combined with that, no live promo, it was also an awful week to release it, with Kanye, The Killers & Nickleback as major competition. It isn't due to a lack of interest in Guns N' Roses. Look at AC/DC, look at Metallica. It's due to a lack of interest in THIS Guns N' Roses.

What Guns N' Roses?  They haven't promoted it.  They haven't showed the band.  There's no band pic out there.  There's been no live performances in support of this album (this year).  There's been no talk shows, and absolutely no word from Axl.

It's their fault.  They coulda promoted the hell out of this thing.

Which means one thing...

Don't promote a band - that ISN'T THE BAND.

dont think axl will promote this album. the next album, could be, maybe he thinks 15 years of talking about chinese democracy is enough.

Get real, Axl won't promote any of his albums. It may cost him a few millions of album sales but he doesn't care.

Not one band member have said shit, Axl have kept quiet. You could only assume that's the way they want this to go down, especially with one band member in minus which makes the whole deal problematic touring and promoting wise. If they had done the basic press it would have notched up more sales. They act like there's no band behind the album at all.

Which makes me ask the question "why?". What's behind this approach?

Saul over at HTGTH (a real Buckethead connection) says the tour will be in place by Jan. He also said to expect album 2 by the end of 2009....Take it however you want. I would really like to see a theatre tour for Chinese where they play the whole album for diehards. It doesn't have to be a long drawn out tour....just something to properly promote this album and the musicians who made it.:buckethead:

He did not comment on whether or not Bucket would be involved.

Saul has been dead-on recently, but usually only when it involves Bucket, so ... hmmm.

IMO Saul's treading in dangerous waters....unless he knows more than we do, which is possible, but its a dangerous game to present educated guesses as fact

I also think that they will tour in 09 and that album #2 could possibly be released same time next year, it would make alot of sense to drop 3 albums in 4 years and tour most of that time frame....thats the best exposure....whether or not it'll actually happen is another story

anyway like i said, unless Saul knows something for sure....he may end up falling flat on his face. hes been alluding to Bucket coming back now for months...still nothing has officially happened that we know about..and then also in times like this you could always remember the downfall of Sp1at and how that all ended up

Wouldn't that be freakin' awesome (well...if we knew who the band was!) in reality it will probably be fuckin' Miley Cyrus or the Jonas Brothers or the reunited N-Suck! 4

I'll be happy if somehow a Better video comes through. sad

pretty sure the superbowl is having bruce springsteen. they've been playing it safe since janet jackson. always thought that since welcome to the jungle has become such a sports anthem over the years that it would be great to have axl do the superbowl.
