Atari Legend, you better bring your A game, you are getting it handed to you right now.
When I say basically it means, not literally, but clearly implying.
So Axl isn't to blame?
Nobody involved with Guns wants to blame Axl, but there's no one else to blame.
Re: Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude."
I don't understand the need to take sides.
I agree, but the fact is more people take Slash's side, I find it ridiculous that people completely dismiss anything Axl says.
That's my view point, I'm not even trying to defend what Axl might have done, I'm trying to point out that it's more than one sided.

Re: Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude."
the fact that Axl uses his FRIEND or forum devotees to interview him while Slash has gone in front of the world's media should tell you a lot about which man is being more open and grown up about their side of the story and their culpability in the demise of GNR.
Axl does not appear ready to risk being interviewed by a savvy journalist who will challenge him on his role in becoming the last original member of GNR and how well that strategy has worked out for him.
Slash has always been open to interview & criticism via the media. He has also criticised himself for his bitterness and bad will towards Axl whereas the Million Dollar Baby still hides out in his mansion, gets interviewed by minions, never accepts any responsibility for any of the problems with the band and devotes whole sections of his interviews appearing tiny minded and poisonous about a man who he has not even seen in 12 years.
Also Atari, this is not about sides, it's about the ongoing disappointment and bemusement that many of us fans feel with Axl's descent into an obsessive, self pitying martyr. Are you really under the impression that Axl is as gracious about Slash as visa versa?

I disagree, he went in front of some of his harshest critics on MYGNR, his fans.

You've just taken sides, end of argument.

And the difference is? If you imply something, that just means you're saying something without coming right out and saying it, it still amounts to you claiming Slash blames Axl for everything, and that he does it in every interview where the topic comes up. You've gotta be kidding me!
And Axl's fans are hardly his harshest critics... They are his biggest enablers. The guy gets free passes on a wide range of things, be it riots, be it no showing gigs, be it beating up a woman, be it his own culpability in what happened to the original band, or be it his ridiculous rants about the old band.

Agreed, but what about the rest of the post...

I'm not gonna let you just gloss over what you did, you're a fricken liar, and displayed your lack of credibility.
As far as the rest of your post, do you mean....
During our conversation, you've been reluctant to even say the words Guns N' Roses. Do you have any regrets?
I feel bad about all the people who got ripped off by Guns N' Roses.
You mean the no-shows, late performances and bad shows?
You know what I mean by that. The fans were so f---ing great. They embraced us, and a band couldn't have asked for more, and we let them down.
Do you blame [lead singer] Axl Rose, or do you take some of the blame yourself?
I would be a total assh--e if I didn't put some of the blame on me. But I'm not responsible for the band breaking up. I worked too hard, for too long, trying to keep things together. I don't like to blame Axl either. He seems to be the scapegoat for everything.
So Axl isn't to blame?
Nobody involved with Guns wants to blame Axl, but there's no one else to blame. That's a tough one.
I don't respect people who feel the need to be deceptive to try making their point. I'll say this, big fucking deal, you found A interview where Slash blames Axl, it hardly makes up for the fact that you grossly exaggerated the claim that Slash blames him in every interview, and then lied about doing so, or the fact that you needed to be deceptive regarding that above interview, since the interviewer notes that Slash didn't wanna talk GnR. What is it that pisses you off the most, the fact that every now and then Slash comments on it, or that it's the truth? You guys love making it Axl vs. Slash, but it's Axl's side vs. Slash, Izzy, Duff, and Matt's sides.
P.S.
Slash NEVER changed his story about going to Axl's house, someone else in VR said the story was bullshit, Slash only released on statement about it, and said he was there to end a legal dispute with him.
Re: Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude."
He still said it, I don't know what posting the rest of that interview proves.
Whether he says he doesn't want or like to talk about it or not, he still says it.

You mean when he chose what questions he would answer? Way to go out on a limb Axl. What a brave, brave man.
