Re: Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude."
He still said it, I don't know what posting the rest of that interview proves.
Whether he says he doesn't want or like to talk about it or not, he still says it.
Oh so you got me, you found that 1 interview I asked for, do you feel vindicated or something? The main point of the discussion is that you claimed Slash does that in every single interview, which is an exaggeration... But instead of just saying it was an exaggeration, you insinuated I was fabricating it by asking for a quote, and then tried to weasel out of it with a ridiculous attempt of playing a word game not realizing the word you chose doesn't change what you claimed.
And posting the entire interview would have been at odds with the picture you try to paint of Slash... He was asked a question on a topic, he was noted to be reluctant to talk about, and gave an answer. Not only that, but it gives context... The interviewer asked Slash about the GnR no shows and walk offs and late shows, what was Slash blaming Axl for? Not to mention it's an edited interview, where words can and often are changed and other assorted bullshit.... To the contrary, Axl's attacks on Slash were either in official GnR press releases, prefabricated mock interviews conducted by close personal friends, or conducted on live tv for the whole world to hear, where is the possibility for misquotes and editorial liberties?

The above links are interviews/press releases posted there, where Axl is trashing Slash in some way... Of all the Axl interviews posted on there from between 1999 and 2009, as God is my witness I left out maybe 5 or 6... And it wasn't so much because Axl didn't trash Slash, it was more because Axl wasn't even asked about Slash in those interviews! For someone who has been really quiet the last 10 years, that is remarkable since you say SLASH does all the trash talking in every interview he does. That is like a 50% rate, that rate is even higher if you don't count the interviews he wasn't even asked about Slash, that is just pathetic. You're whole argument is bullshit.
Re: Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude."
I never denied Axl blamed Slash.
As for saying basically, I know it means, that's why I said it.
Re: Slash to Axl: "Whatever, Dude."
I'm not gonna let you just gloss over what you did, you're a fricken liar, and displayed your lack of credibility.
the discussion is here is relatively intriguing...there is no need to resort to name calling.... thanks
carry on

I don't think ya do, basically and imply don't mean the same thing.
What difference does it make, you got busted in a ridiculous lie, and it's there for people to read. And then you have the balls to call Slash a liar.
I never denied Axl blamed Slash.
Point out where I said you did? You did say Slash does it a lot more than Axl... Well 6 out of 12 or so interviews on HTGTH has not just Axl blaming Slash, but saying some truly vile things about Slash, something that has been going on for 10 years, and something that Slash has never done to Axl. And your claim that most fans side with Slash is questionable... When I was on the 2000 Intentions board back in 2000/2001, I and many other Slash fans was regularly attacked by Axl fans, not only that, there is a large number of Axl fans on the VR board, who spend their time there trashing Slash, as we speak, so please spare people the horseshit.

It's 2009 now, I don't exactly think you'll find this board over run with people defending Axl.

Seriously? The VR board must have changed since the last time, I was there. Although it has been a year, so I suppose it's possible that it's been over run with anti-Slash Semitism.

Then why bother typing out this?

Ta da...

When I say basically it means, not literally, but clearly implying.
And the difference is? If you imply something, that just means you're saying something without coming right out and saying it

You guys need to fucking settle this shit already.
