What the hell are some of you guys smoking from time to time?
The opening shows for Rolling Stones in 2006 didn't happen because a 347 year old man called Keith Richards fell from a fucking palm tree.
It hasn't got ANYTHING to do with this "new vs. old" bullshit. Enough is enough.

we lost so much info in the RoV meltdown that i doubt we will ever find what backslash, and others are referring to. i remember the reunon rumrs heating up for those RS shows, but i couldnt find any articles about it....
the officeial RS website shows press releases hyping the gigs and there was also Keith's injury (then blood clots) and one of the other RS dudes was in rehab at the time too....anyway IMO the show was cancelled cuz Keith is an idiot 
not cuz a reunion didnt happen....bizarre thing though, the 2 gigs where GnR was supposed to open were the only ones cancelled...all the others were resheduled....i seem to recall that was cuz GnR and RS couldn't schedule around each others prior commitments at the time
again i know it was all documented on RoV but those posts are lost in another dimension somewhere

GUNS N' ROSES Won't Be Opening For ROLLING STONES After All - June 2, 2006
MTV.com reports: Looks like GUNS N' ROSES won't be opening for the ROLLING STONES after all. The STONES put their European "Bigger Bang" tour on hold after Keith Richards was sidelined with a head injury last month, and now the band has announced that the Nürnberg and Leipzig, Germany, shows that Axl Rose and the gang were set to play in July have been canceled. Richards is ready to get back on the road, however, and the STONES' European tour will kick off July 11 in Italy. "Excuse me, I fell off my perch," Richards said in a statement on the band's official site. "Sorry to disrupt everyone's plans but now — it's full steam ahead! Ouch!" Rescheduled dates for postponed European shows are expected to be announced soon.

well it was like 3 years ago....my memory is hazy at best..even blabbermouth didnt have anything about jagger talking trash so i doubt it happened...they woulda been all over it like flies on shit. this is what happens though sometimes theories become believed truths over time

not alot happens in Gnr land so it is rather easy to remember what is said officially and in the press...in my humble opinion. Most of the time people are just remembering made up bullshit by forum members with "agendas".

yea i'm pretty stoned right now actually. i'm just finishing listening to the Total Loss tracklist (Prostitute just started..) n i have to say it's bloody terrific. flows so well. was one of those listens where you're hearing loadsa stuff you didn't notice before.
i'd elaborate but i'm going to get supper after this tune. 2moro i'll detail my experience. i'll prob be stoned then too. Prostitute is great.
