Re: GN'R Twitter Updates
boo-hoo
you heard? well someone else heard differently..
if he had to apologise to everyone he's slighted over the yrs he'd never get anything done..
not that anything gets fuckin done anyway, just saying..
I'm not crying, Axl was being a big baby on that night though.
I've been cancelled by Axl twice, been made to wait hours for shows and subjected to that farse at reading. But give him dues, when it's right, it's worth it. I just wish he'd give his fans just a little more respect which he seems to be doing now.
For the record, id be quite happy if they have an 11pm start time for the UK shows, at least that way you can plan around it.
Re: GN'R Twitter Updates
So, Ali, basically he acknowledges he cancelled the first show (Vancouver) at 6AM but he never mentions asking his manager about Philly, correct?
Philly was a total mess by him being sick and DIDNT warning anyone about it (on 6AM or after, it seems), therefore why the band members were at the gig.
the first show means the first show in philly. they had two concerts scheduled in philadelphia in 2002. he`s not talking about vancouver here...

Yeah, he said he told his manager to cancel the show in Philly at 6 am, presumably because he was sick. His manager told him it was canceled, but it actually wasn't.
So who knows, again could be them not wanting to pull the plug too early hoping they could talk Axl into doing the show during the course of the day. I'm not about to go Sherlock Holmes on this bitch.

No, he's talking about cancelling Philly, not Vancouver.

Again, it's worth noting that it was actually announced on the PA that night in the Arena in Philly that the show was cancelled due to an illness in the band.

No, don't know where you heard that. He was photographed at the Superbowl more than a month after that (if that was actually him).
Ali
It was either him or this guy...
I cant stop thinkin, thinkin bout sinkin, sinkin down into my bed!
Re: GN'R Twitter Updates
It's the truth he's telling, but it's never the big picture. It's just one mans side of a situation that went down. Ask someone else, the manager for example, the core is still there, but the twist would be entirely different. And that's how it is with humans
This.
"It was not Axl's fault. He will tell you later. He was late to the concert and it got canceled by the promotion people who were scared that there would be another riot. It was silly because there was a riot anyway." (Fernando Lebeis, O Globo, 07/09/03)
