Well we're poor here in the US. Can't afford to spend all that cash on a hockey game like you rich Canadians.  JK!

Obviously the interest level is a bit higher north of the border. Boston is typically a great hockey town. College hockey is huge with the annual Beanpot Tournament, and the Bruins have always been popular as well. Maybe the Boston fans have just been spoiled by all the recent flux of championships. Then again, the Bruins are the one team that hasn't achieved the high level of success recently. The crowds have been quite raucous so far though. I would expect more of the same the next 2 games.

Hell when I went to the GN'R show at the St. Pete Times Forum, they gave away Lightning seats to section I was in - for free.

They were right on the friggin' ice.

Just goes to show the huge difference. Southern U.S. gives them away, Canadians give their DAUGHTERS away for them.

$1000 might be a bit steep but still prolly $125 per ticket easily against a mid to low end team and another prolly $20-30 to park then say 100-150 in merch/beer and food (Beer alone is $15 a pop) so whats that $650-700 for a damn hockey game and that would be about 1/2 way up the upper bowl...fuck that noise

boston is killing the canucks right now..that Torres hit on Horton was wayyy late and a bit high too .. i mean horton passed, glided and then took 2-3 strides before torres nailed him ... i hope he is ok cuz it looked like he was right out of it when he got hit...i bet he'll be doing concussion tests for 2 days

I remember back in the day going to Whalers games and buying student tickets for $15.  It was awesomely affordable for kids in high school.  Good times.  Nowadays though, to go to any major event, you're lucky to spend less than $100.

I didn't catch much of the game tonight.  I tuned in when it was already out of hand.  From what I can tell though, and from what I've heard, the Canucks have played a pretty dirty series so far and the Bruins have been the much classier organization.  Not sure if that's normal for Vancouver, but from the biting, to the showboating, to the illegal hit tonight.  It makes it tough to root for them.  Even tonight when the B's were pouring it on, there was no taunting or anything going on, which they easily could've delved into.  They were just going about their business.  That's the way it should be.

Yeah Sabres games are always mobbed with Canadians, regardless of the opponent. But when it's the Leafs, it's a 50-50 split in the building pretty evenly. It's frustrating to not have home ice advantage in a home game, but they keep inventing new price levels for the Toronto games because Canadians will pay so much more than Americans and it still comes out cheaper than a game in ACC.

Weird game 3, but I expected Boston to win, so I'd be less worried by the blowout if I'm Vancouver than I would be about the Horton injury if I was Boston. I still like the Canucks in 5 or 6.Pr
