OFCOURSE the "other people around" made it awkward. The Malibu Mafia can't have their meal ticket/cash cow f'd up by someone who's educated and might actually give a shit about Axl now can they???
Oh, you are SOOO getting a karma for THAT statement!
And to add, I am really glad it ended up just being Axl & Duff hanging, going to the show, and having dinner the next day alone. The way it should be. Really fuckin' cool they could get some closure on their past, and maybe reconcile into the future.

I gotta say though as much shit as Del, Beta and the others cop, Axl seemed very emotional and upset during the UYI years, these days he seems to be doing better and be happier mostly...if that's due to them then they're good for him.

Oh yeah, but he could have been talking about people around him (Duff) as well. No matter what influence anyone has on Axl in his inner circle I'm certain no one has him brain washed, he's going to do what he wants. I'm sure Duff isn't going to step on any toes on Axl's side.

I'm happy for Axl and Duff, that they were able to sit down and reminisce on good terms - and doubly happy that Duff respects the new band and doesn't want to muscle in on their turf.

Those yes men have propped Axl up for an entire year of touring...whatever it takes to keep our boy functional is good with me.
