Watched "One Missed Call" last night, it was a good "B" horror flick.  About a group of people who get calls on their cell phone from a person already just recently deceased.  The call they get is dated a day or so in the future and it is at this time they will die.

I also watched "Carver" a little while back.  Very much Texas Chainsaw like but, of course, nothing can top the original TCM for its shock value and realness.

I've wanted to see that for a while now. I read that the drug deal scene in Boogie Nights was based off an event in John Holmes' life when it started to go downhill. It then said this movie was also based on his life, more directly.

I watched 'Go' over the weekend. That's a great movie. One of the best drug themed movies of all time. I was surprised how young Katie Holmes looks in it, it's been a while since I've seen it, but she looked 16 or 17. A great ensemble cast too.

I watched a movie last night called Wonderland starring Val Kilmer.  It was really, really good.  It was about the Wonderland murders that happened in Laurel Canyon Calif.   It's a true story about John Holmes, porno star with a 12 or 13 inch cock in the 70's, that got involved with major drugs and drug dealers.   He was inbetween 2 drug groups and one group 4 people were murdered in the house they partied in and they nicked named the house Wonderland, which is how the murders got to be called the Wonderland murders.

It was really good, lots of stars in it.

Check it out if it's ever on.

I watched Wonderland last night too for the first time on IFC. It was a good movie. Pretty gruesome what they did to those five people in that house. Unbelievable that the one girl survived.

Yes, my husband was telling me that Boogie Nights was about him as well, I didn't know that.    This movie is a must see.

Wow that's odd that we watched the same movie at the same time or maybe not depending where you live.   Definitely was gruesome, when you saw the flashes of the autopsy pics, those were actual pics.   I've only been able to find two crime scene pics online, very gruesome indeed.   When you hang out with drug dealers, that's the way it goes sometimes, especially in this situation.   However what story do you believe, John Holmes story or David's story.   I am not sure, I am really don't know who to believe.

It came on Sunday night at 8p.m. central time on IFC.

I tend to believe David's story. Simply because the way John Holmes showed up the next morning at Sharon Holmes' house covered in blood and all freaked out.

I know you said you really don't know who to believe, but who's story do you lean more towards to DTJ?

I leaned more towards Davids story but I was still perplexed at the end of who to believe.   He had a 1500 dollar a day cocaine habit, I tend to believe more that he was fucking with the Wonderland crew more then with the Eddie Nash's crew, I also think he told Eddie Nash those guns were his, even though the movie didn't prove this and he got drugs for them.     I tend to believe he rat them out and was in on the night he the murders happened.  That's definitely were I was leaning.

Iron Man. Amazing. Best Marvel super-hero movie since Spider-Man 1, maybe Spidey 2, and other than those I think it's the best. Beats the piss out of Daredevil or Elecktra or the Fantastic Four films, or the first Hulk, or even X-Men's 1 and 3.

Better than anything DC has done, including Batman Begins, although that is also a fantastic film.

^ I almost saw that last night but opted for 21 instead.  It's nothing special.

Dad and I saw 88 Minutes a couple of days ago.  We were the only two in the theatre.  Haha... I'd give it an 8/10.  Pacino was great, as always, and the plot was decent.  It keeps you guessing until the end and there are some pretty intense moments.  I don't understand why it's gotten such poor reviews.  I guess it has to do with the mediocre dialog and somewhat predictable ending.  We enjoyed it, nonetheless.

I watched the unrated version of Inside 18 and also watched Spun, although I had seen that a few years back. Inside was interesting but mainly just "torture porn", exploitation, etc. Spun is a great meth film.
