Lenny's first few albums were great, but his shit got very stale after awhile.
He better have a killer 1st single if he wants me to get interested again. I wrote him off years ago.
Yeah, same here Lofton. I loved Let Love Rule but then it just became an occassional good song from a pile of crap. A return to that first album would be career changing.

To say alot is riding on the success of Chinese Democracy would be a huge understatement. Axl has really dug himself into a whole with all the delays and the expectations that come along with an album that has been in-the-making for this long.
When (and if) Chinese Democracy is released what will it mean for Axl? The chances of success dwindle with every passing year and the amount of success is more and more likely to be on a smaller scale.
Axl knows these things and I think that is partly why he is so reluctant to release it. He's in a tough spot. Don't release it and your career becomes the subject of jokes rather than legacy. Do release it and it fails and the fate isn't any better.
Once (and again if) Chinese Democracy is released do you guys think that Axl will finally feel he has the monkey off his back and move on with his career (either with the new band or a reunion with the old band) or do you feel anything short of a huge success will make Chinese Democracy his final work?

Kiss
1.100.000 years.
2.Calling Dr. Love.
3.C'mon and love me.
4.Rock bottom.
5.Detroit Rock City.
6.Strutter.
7.Heart of chrome.
8.Shandi.
9.I love it loud.
10.Hide your heart.
Kiss is underrated often. Very interesting you included "Shandi". That's a good song that is often overlooked. I also like the fact you DIDN'T include Rock and Roll All Nite. Not that it is a bad song (hell, it's their best known probably) but it is weak as a reflection to some of the stuff they have done.
My ten goes something like this:
1. Mr. Speed
2. Rocket Ride
3. Sweet Pain
4. Take Me
5. Plaster Caster
6. Unholy
7. Sure Know Something
8. Watchin' You
9. Black Diamond
10. God Gave Rock N Roll To You II

History has just been made. Hopefully everyone watched it, because we may go the rest of our lives without seeing a team go 16-0.
True, in the end the Patriots have been a solid team all year. I am not convinced they can beat the Colts in the playoffs but regardless, they were very dominant in most games this year and that is a difficult thing to do.

I'm not a fan (usually) of back-to-back posts but 28-16 ... New York Giants!! Fuckin' A!! This is the largest deficit the Pats have had all season. What the hell happened to Eli? Damn, if this guy could play like this consistently he would be top 5 in the NFL.
Update: It figures. The NYG's could have put the game away with the last drive but guess what...you guessed it, good 'ol bullshit ref call. The receiver from the Giants was hit late out of bounds and the call ends up going against the freaking Giants. Even Chris Collinsworth was saying he didn't know what the refs were seeing. Fuck this. The NFL is a step away from professional wrestling. I'm watching a movie. Looks like the game has been bought and paid for. Congrads NE, you win.

Considering loading Battlefield 2 and killing some people on Wake Island
Any BF2 players here?
Never played it. What's the draw?

Yeah Slinger, but unbelievably favorable calls are how teams go undefeated. The Phins could get away with murder in the 70s, and now the Pats are getting that luck too. Hopefully the Giants will continue to play well, as right now they are the better team on the field.
Unfortunately there is much truth to that. The Cowboys got by with murder in the 90's, really turned me against them. The Giants are a much better team tonight, hopefully they will end the season for NE with a loss. I wonder where NYG82 is? He's gotta be loving this.

I don't really care if these are in the booklet or not they have a relevance to GnR. Better than contemplating what he will wear in 2008.
Amen to that. Good post Seven.

This game is pissing me off and is once again proving my point (as well as some Eagle's claims) that NE is getting some very favorable calls...AGAIN AND AGAIN. A NE defensive player should have been ejected on the current drive for trying to poke a NYG player's eye on purpose and instead of that the call goes AGAINST the Giants. Finally the refs turned it around. Then the next couple of plays Eli throws a ball to the endzone and the receiver has position to make the grab but is blatantly interferred with. No call...surprise surprise. Luckily the Giants kept their composure and just scored. I hate these shabby calls/no calls however...in favor over and over for the Pats. Halftime and the Giants are ahead 21-16, I hope it lasts.
