"Hunky Dory" owns "Ziggy Stardust".
I agree. And cannot believe Dream On beat Ziggy.
Heathen is a great album from a modern vantage point

Yeah, even Time Magazine reviewed those leaks and when the album finally did come out, didn't really give a shit.
That leak definitely stripped the emperor of his last cloth.
True hang him.

Wow. Great to see hes still doing it. I bet Tom and Kim will have a major bitching session about Cornell breaking up their respective bands after the show! . In the perfect world Thayil would be headlining
One more thing. If boots riley and Tom are both there I'm guessing there's gonna be few Streetsweeper tunes thrown in.
Woh woh woh Wait a Minute!!!!! Mark Arm, Thayil and Shepard !!!!! That sounds like a band to me! presume they are going to play at least a few tunes together. I also presume they have an unknown drummer so he didn't get a mention on the poster!!!!!
Looks like one hell of a show Kramer too

Im actually in the process of making a short animation, inspired by this song, for a project. I might post it when It's done

The first guy is the best...He sounds a LOT like Weiland though
#1066 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Would VR consider Dover ? » 861 weeks ago
Hire a woman, and no I don't mean M.I.A., Santigold, etc. Any woman. Try something different for once.
Hiring a female lead singer would take these guys way out of their comfort zone.
I was thinking that and the only name that came to mind instantly was Dolores O' Riardan. Christina Scabbia maybe. Definitely not Amy Lee shes hot shit...Emphasis on shit though

Hmm ... who else could they possibly get at this point though??? They should have just stuck with Josh Todd!!! (Although we would never have seen 15 or Black Butterfly in that case which were great albums in their own right)...
Maybe James Michael from Sixx A.M. The boy can write a good tune. He wrote the heroin diaries sound track And most of Saints of Los Angeles.
All VR sucks jokes aside, there is a certain level of interest in the band and even some expectation with the amount of albums sold, awards, etc.
Dover would be a buzzkill delivered straight from the gates of hell.
Thats true hadn't fully considered the media implications. Well if they want to make a serious splash in the Mainstream media they should at least try to get Serj Tanikan!!!! (I don't think he'd like to do it though).
VR need to get their shit together soon. I really don't know who they could possibly get now!.. But it would seem the smart money is on JD Fortune!!!!!

Just thinking there. DJ Ashba (although he is a little Slash-esque) Would be the perfect fit!!
!!

Could VR consider getting Eric Dover (Snakepit 1, Jellyfish) for VR. In his book Slash didn't say very much about him. Though he did slam Rod Jackson (Snakepit 2) . I'd prefer Jackson's Vocals to be honest but there's bad blood between him and slash these days. Dover on the other hand parted amicably from snakepit(If I remember correctly). Just a thought seeing as its been almost a year since Scott's departure. Maybe they could get That guy from crash test dummies. That would be very very cool.
Or even Scott Stapp . Well maybe not Stapp

Yeah its a shame.
Seems like he was traumatized from the recording of Down on the Upside. He was basically pushed aside from the creative side of things at that point and only had one songwriting credit(Never the Machine Forever). He's barely dabbled in music since.
All I've heard from him since has been his the work he did on probot
On Topic: John 5 is a great player but it would be like Robin in 01 all over again (image wise).
I would love to see Nuno Bettencourt in that band. I've said this in other forums before but, I think he has the talent, attitude and all important style to become as iconic as Slash. He writes great music too.
If Kerri Kelly gets the job I would be shocked. He is NOT gnr material. He's plain and boring like Ryan Roxie.
Ive heard ppl mention Dave Navarro but I don't think he's right. These days he's too much of an ego-maniac (see mariah careys version of bringin on the heartbreak / rockstar inxs & supernova / His MTV show/The fact he's directing his own porn now!) He's back with Jane's now anyway but I really can't see him and Perry getting on too well either....shame really
Maybe Axl should give Dave Kushner a ring I hear hes not doing much these days
