Could VR consider getting Eric Dover (Snakepit 1, Jellyfish) for VR. In his book Slash didn't say very much about him. Though he did slam Rod Jackson (Snakepit 2) . I'd prefer Jackson's Vocals to be honest but there's bad blood between him and slash these days. Dover on the other hand parted amicably from snakepit(If I remember correctly).  Just a thought seeing as its been almost a year since Scott's departure. Maybe they could get That guy from crash test dummies. That would be very very cool.

Or even Scott Stapp 14. Well maybe not Stapp

Good question but I highly doubt it. Slash went about as far as he was ever gonna go with Dover on Snakepit. There's really no need for any future projects between the two, and if Dover was announced as the singer tomorrow, it would barely cause a blip on the media's radar.

All VR sucks jokes aside, there is a certain level of interest in the band and even some expectation with the amount of albums sold, awards, etc.

Dover would be a buzzkill delivered straight from the gates of hell.

Crash test> are you fkin kidding?  Dover deserves more due than he`s had I grant thee...I odnt know why Slash wouldnt pick someone he`s worked with before, one he`s not had a "problem" with..  I love Imperial Drag and still think Dover a nice asset in any band..I think he sounds a little too axl for Slashs liking tho

VR choosing Dover would be putting the gun to their head, and pulling the trigger.

No band - ever - has went anywhere with Dover on vocals. I can't stand Weiland, but even I know, in theory, Weiland to Dover is a MASSIVE trade down.

They'd be better served with Bach in a case like that, and Bach's career also is pretty much history.

VR only went anywhere at all cuz it was VR (slash/duff)..  it had nothing to do with that scumbag weiland.

Dover certainly has more talent and reliability than Weiland but it'd be a bad choice. Been there, done that. I'm into Dover's work and his power-pop stuff wouldn't mesh with VR.

One song collaboration - good idea.
Full album/tour - bad idea.

the only reason why snakepit one crashed and burned was cuz geffen pulled the funding on the tour...they were selling and drawing well up til that point

Hmm ... who else could they possibly get at this point though??? They should have just stuck with Josh Todd!!! (Although we would never have seen 15 or Black Butterfly in that case which were great albums in their own right)...

Maybe James Michael from Sixx A.M. The boy can write a good tune. He wrote the heroin diaries sound track And most of Saints of Los Angeles.

Thats true hadn't fully considered the media implications. Well if they want to make a serious splash in the Mainstream media they should at least try to get Serj Tanikan!!!! (I don't think he'd like to do it though).

VR need to get their shit together soon. I really don't know who they could possibly get now!.. But it would seem the smart money is on JD Fortune!!!!! smile

Hire a woman, and no I don't mean M.I.A., Santigold, etc. Any woman. Try something different for once.

Hiring a female lead singer would take these guys way out of their comfort zone.
